<p>The majority of us all agree with shellfell and GTalum on these last two posts. It’s a classic case of “Ellen Degeneres Syndrome”-- times 3. </p>
<p>I re-played Pia’s Wednesday night performance. As bad as the outfit and lack of “swagger” (perfect description, thanks ellemenope) was, I think the song choice is what contributed the most to her receiving the lowest number of votes.</p>
<p>Did anyone hear the buzz surrounding Casey and Haley? Rumor has it the Spring love-bug bit them both.</p>
<p>I really don’t understand the judges comments. They seem inconsistent to me. And I agree w/others that they are too complimentary without adding constructive criticism.</p>
<p>My Conspiracy Theory - Gwen S. sabotaged Pia with that (IMO) awful outfit because she sees her as competition. Maybe she tried to sabotage all three ladies… Pia is truly beautiful and will succeed with that beautiful voice.</p>
<p>I really don’t care too much for any of the guys. But I predict all of the girls will be gone before any guy is eliminated.</p>
<p>The judges were way out of line last night.
They do remember that only one person wins…right? That means 8 have to go?? I seriously do not think Pia was going to win…so that whole shocking result was just , dare I say…reality television fluff?? I am “shocked”!!!
Pia can sing…Pia is pretty…Pia had a great body…Pia will be fine.</p>

<p>Exactly! Lauren’s sucked especially. The matching top and shorts made it look like she was wearing an infant onesie. Not flattering at all. Didn’t like Pia’s either, but she’s worn some things like that in the past so it didn’t seem that out of the ordinary. She’s thinner, too, so she could pull it off more easily. Haley’s wasn’t that bad. And Scotty’s the only person I ever vote for.</p>
<p>Totally agree with jmmom. Don’t think Scotty will win it but will probably be in the top few. </p>
<p>So far haven’t been thrilled with any of the girls outfits. Read a blurb from the designer who is outfitting them who thought they looked great and decided that I was probably better off not wearing ‘designer’ clothes myself since I obviously don’t get fashion!</p>
<p>Pia could sing, but as I have said before she was boring. Beautiful voice, but no stage presence at all. I have watched AI from the beginning and we all know this is not a talent competition, but a popularity contest.</p>
<p>I really don’t have a favorite this year, but I guess I’d be ok with Casey winning.</p>
<p>So I looked at some Iggy Pop and the Stooges videos on Youtube. Not wearing a shirt while performing seems to be his trademark and so is that weird jumping all over the stage. </p>
<p>He was described as “proto-punk”–a big influence on punk, hard rock, and rock music in general. </p>
<p>He was always a bit avant garde for me–David Bowie but much more dangerous and crazy. Still looks dangerous at age 63! </p>
<p>Now that I’ve seen his old videos, Iggy Pop coming on American Idol wearing a shirt and not jumping around all crazy would have been weird…</p>
<p>Very often the contestants that do not win have a better musical career than those who do win. The only thing that bothered me is when all three judges went up to the stage to console her. I think that was inappropriate - they should do that for all contestants or none at all.</p>
<p>They probably went on stage to console her because she was having an especially hard time dealing with the bad news…they’re parents too. (Actually don’t know about Randy…)</p>
<p>I heard Pia was signed by David Geffen’s lable within 24 hours of her being booted from AI. She will most likely have a single out before the winner of AI is announced this year.</p>
<p>I believe that ^^^ was a premature announcement. No deal has been made yet.</p>
<p>Pia was interviewed on the Today show this morning and claims there are no deals as of yet. She is supposed to go back to LA for the tour, and I would think she is contractually bound not to sign anything official until the season is over. It wouldn’t look too good for Idol if eliminated contestants are in competition with the eventual winner to get out a single or an album, even before the outcome is announced.</p>
<p>Maybe Mark Ballas, DWTS professional who’s rumored to be dating Pia, will teach her how to “move to her music” better.</p>
