American Viewpoint

HI guys, i’m sort of confused on this essay question.

What does Hawthorne have to say about the AMerican vietpoint on Man’s relationship with soceity?

Why does it mean american viewpoint? Can i just discuss the relationship between an individual and society??? Can I talk about how there is a limit to freedom of faith which ir irnoic since peopel come to the new world to pursue their own happiness?

Did you pay attention to class? It’s been years since I read/studied Hawthorne but even I remember some of what his view on society in America was.

Well, that was really helpful roflkeke.

Sorry if I think asking for help FROM THE INTERNET on a simple prompt is pathetic.

wow, rofl… way to be an ass! kid, i sucked at english, too. unfortunately, I only wrote about how hawthorne uses Light and dark imagery to some thing.

Let me try to think…

Alright, think about the characters.
That lady— she is masked with the letter.
The priest — he is masked as a guy who is “so good” and everyone loves him

Think about it. Which one of these characters lives and dies and why do you think so?

Respond if you still need help.
