Like off of Andover campus and into Andover, MA city.

Andover is not a city; it is technically a town. It’s a very quaint, picturesque New England town with not a lot going on. There’s a CVS, Dunkin’ Donuts, and a few other shops. Students can go off-campus within the town at any time they do not have another obligation.

In terms of “going into the city,” that usually means either Boston or Cambridge, and yes, students are allowed to do so on week-ends.

I agree with the above. Students need advisor permission to leave to go to the Boston-area, but are allowed in the town anytime.

I was told that students are allowed into the downtown part of Andover at anytime without permission. However venturing farther out than the outskirts of town would require permission. The downtown area is about a 10 min walk from the Bell tower.
