Answered only one question!!!

Oh my goodness. I only answered one of the questions in the supplement. It was about 500 WORDS though.

I have been going through so much stress though with my mother in and out of the hospital for weeks (cancer issues and surgery).

Should I e-mail admissions and tell them this or is there no use? Will they even consider me knowing that I did not follow the directions?

I feel as though they will reject me after seeing that!!!

=’ ( tears

First, calm down.
I would either call the admissions office or e-mail them. SU seems like a pretty understanding school. If they don’t let you submit the other 3, at least you asked.

I think it’s just a choose how to answer sort of thing - if you want to answer more than one question, you can, but you don’t have to. Not sure though. I did the same thing as you XD

If I remember correctly, you are required to answer all short answer questions.

I would call them and just explain.

My experience with Syracuse is that they are the most open in reviewing each student individually of all the schools that my son applied to. (He attends now as a freshman).
Here is how I would handle the situations. I would write a very eloquent letter explaining your circumstances and along with that letter I would answer the questions you did not answer. I would call it something like “Application Supplement” as a heading and then answer the entire questions very well that you missed. The personal explanation should be on a separate sheet. Address it to the head of admissions and copy some assistant admission people and sent it to them as well. Please ask them to put this in your file. I would send this US mail return receipt to make sure they got it. Make sure you identify yourself fully.
I would also send this same information via e-mail to the admissions office email address. Then after you get the receipt that they got it. I would call them and talk to them to make sure it is in your file and extend you apology again. I would do this ASAP.
Good Luck.

Call the Syracuse admissions office, and calmly explain your mistake. They are very, very, nice and will offer ideas as to what to do.
