I really thought I might have some small chance.
■■■.

aww faith im sorry! i was really pulling for you because you’ve been posting all day waiting for the mailman =(

faith i’m sorry too ): i’m sure you’ll be a million times more successful then those ‘mean girls’ because you actually seem like a great person. and to even apply to usc means you’re intelligent, so keep on fighting and good luck wherever you go!

Haha, thanks.
In a way I’m kind of relieved that I know the answer, finally.
I’m not too shocked since I really was a bottom-level candidate.
I was mainly hoping my supplemental film application would save me since the SCA said they “fight for their students.”
Guess not.

Northern California–Rejected Letter Dated 3/27

Does not getting DHL mail mean rejection?

@faith101

I’m sorry :'(. I’m almost positive I’ll be receiving a rejection letter in the days to come. Either way, life goes on and as one door closes, another one opens. I commend you for sharing your optimistic and uplifting thoughts throughout the day today :). And I hope you continue to maintain that positive outlook. Everyone on this forum has been so supportive, resilient, and motivated. And no matter what happens, I’m sure you’ll all be very successful.

Rejected and to be honest, I completely expected it. Good luck to everyone else still awaiting their letters.

A California student was accepted to theatre today. An acceptance!

was the cali student a spring admit? and wat was the postmark?

D rejected today but expected it. Totally excited though about accepting at LMU today. Also glad the waiting is over and now she can get on with preparing to attend a school that really wants her.

Soontobe…congratulations to your daughter on the LMU. What a gorgeous school. And everyone I know that goes there just loves it!!

Tornados, you are the best. I’ve really enjoyed your posts and your support on not only the USC but also the Cal Poly site. I wish you the best of luck - sounds like you have some great choices and I know you will do well wherever you land. And I really loved your comments about kids needing their parents to be and stay involved - you have no idea how much that meant to me as a parent (as I’m sure you know, there are many difficult moments sometimes between parents and their kids …) but it’s really nice to hear someone your age saying those things. Best of luck and let us all know where you end up! And best of luck to everyone else still waiting to hear from USC!

what does the rejection letter look like? is it in a 9X11 envelope or just a smaller envelope?

Soonemptynester…Thank you. I feel the same about you. Always very supportive of me too.

Regarding the parents thing. You know, as kids, we really notice who has involved parents and who doesn’t. We may not tell you because that is “not chill” but seriously, your involvement with us makes all the difference in the world. All of my friends text my mom all day long because she is so willing to be there for them and help them when their parents don’t seem to care (or are too busy). That used to embarrass me and bug me a lot when I was in junior high and the first three years of high school. But, now that I am a senior, it is a totally different story. My friends always tell me that I have a cool mom and that makes me really proud. I don’t think there is a parent on this board that is any different from my mom/dad, who are there for me no matter what. Having said that though, I still want to spread my wings, I still want to be as far away from them as possible, if only for a little while to see if I can make it on my own. That is killing them, and I wish it wasn’t that way.

@bangkok, it is a white regular letter envelope and doesn’t have any stamps on it. It was mailed out bulk mail. It feels thicker because it has two pieces of paper in it.

Tornados - wow - you have really made my day. BEST of luck to you!! Your parents have CLEARLY done a great job with you as you have turned out to be one terrific kid!

haha i wish i had your parents. My parents don’t even know what colleges I applied to…

DENIED for mechanical engineering but accepted into Cal/UCLA for same major. I got rejected by my top choices, but I got accepted into almost every single UC. I’m really suprised, what is up with the admissions?!

Does anyone know if USC will still be sending out acceptances/spring admits?
