Hinterland from BBC. Welsh. They actually filmed two separate times, once in Welsh, once in English. Only 4 episodes now, but more being made. If you can get Amazon Prime shows (free on Prime,) The State Within (also BBC) is good, set in DC. There’s mixed feeling about The Killing (American, but based on the Danish.) But it’s a great binge.

Of course, House of Cards. (Well, I watched the US version. Any comments on the Brit version?)

Luthor is a great present day British crime series, and is available on Netflix. It doesn’t have very many episodes, six the first season, and four for each of seasons 2 and 3.

I love Idris Elba, but Luther is so dark.^^^
I’m watching Brooklyn99 on Hulu, if I only had Netflix, I would catch up on 30Rock & Parks & Rec.
I’ve heard good things about Blacklist.

I would second the recommendation for House of Cards–you can get everything on Netflix now. It’s worth watching. Kevin Spacey is an amazing actor as is Robin Wright. H and I binge watched it. Can’t wait for the new season.

I’m embarrassed to say H and I are just now watching The West Wing on Netflix (after getting hooked on The Newsroom, which sadly ended tonight). Nice thing about it is that each episode is only about 42-43 minutes so you can get through them quickly. Hard part is that each season is 20+ episodes and the series is 7 seasons long, so it’s going to take a while.

I highly recommend The Fall, with Gillian Anderson (brilliant actress). It is maybe the darkest TV show I’ve ever been able to watch, but mesmerizing. The acting is exceptional - it always is from those Brits.

Speaking of, have you seen the BBC Sherlock with Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman? They, too, are marvelous. Their chemistry is amazing.

DH found Dicte - think it was recommended by Netflix given his previous history. I’m enjoying that the episodes are not as long as some of the Brit drama’s where one episode is 90 minutes. Also like that the stories seem to be all 2 parters which is less of a commitment that something like The Killing (which, incidentally I thought was fantastic but probably too dark for the OP - coloured my view of Seattle for ever I think!)

Yes. I am waiting for next episodes. I heard they will be out in three years.

Dicte sounds fascinating! I’ll also check out The Fall, The Hour, State Of Play. I can run DVDs. It’s simpler to stream than waiting for DVDs to arrive.

Dh and I have been binge watching Parenthood for a couple months. Right now there are the first 5 seasons on Netflix and Season 6 is currently on TV…so we will have to wait for that until it’s out on DVD. I’m sort of glad we have to wait because we just LOVE this show (currently on Season 4). I think we watch an episode almost each night…sometimes 2 on the weekends. I will be so sad when it’s over.

I also Bingewatched Brothers and Sisters a few years ago and love that one, too.

I watched a few episodes of Parenthood. Somehow it felt a bit phony and made up. I know they are all made up. Most of the time I can ignore the made up part. For some reason in Parenthood it stuck out.

I loved watching BRothers and Sisters, too. I liked the big family gathering scenes.

Just an update: watched the fist two episodes of Dicte and am hooked. They reveal her (and other characters and how this may develop over time) in bits.

As for TV: Scandal, Ray Donovan (Showtime,) and maybe Revenge (uneven seasons; first was good, has gotten soapy.)
