My school’s science bowl team almost made nationals this year. One of our weaknesses was earth science. Are there any recommended textbooks for this competition?

Thanks

Earth Science, Tarbuck and Lutgens. It covers everything and reads nicely. I’ve read everything but the astronomy chapters (which aren’t nearly as useful as the other chapters).

physicalgeography.net is also good, online and free. Covers the same material.

I can attest to the quality of that book. My team got 2nd at Nationals last year and that was the only book we used for Earth Science.

Read through Oceanography (forget the author but it was a yellow tinted cover with the ocean/horizon on it, I believe) almost cover to cover for fun, it was an awesome book.

^I spot two contrasting usernames there. :P
