My GPA is a 2.7(working on that), SAT score is a 1830, and my SAT subject tests are all above 600 (took 3 of them). Currently looking at City University London and EUL.
What subject?
Are you doing any AP or SAT subject tests, and what scores do you anticipate on them?
I want to study psychology/sociology. I took 3 SAT subject test with a score of 659, 630, and 612 (English literature, US history, and world history.) I haven’t taken any AP testing.
Can you do another SAT subject test or AP this coming year? I.m concerned that two separate history SATs will be regarded as too similar to one another.
The City course seems to be mainly sociology with less psychology. If you want a more equal focus you could look at Aston (in Birmingham). Their website asks for APs and doesn’t mention SAT Subject tests, but it might be worth sending an email to see if they would consider the latter as equivalents.
Birmingham City Universiry offers a course with the focus on the psych part, with less sociology and your stats lol OK there (although again I would suggest getting another subject under your belt). I think you could get into the Leicester Psych with Soc course with your current scores.
I’m unable to take AP testing because I’m going to be a senior in September. My school only allows AP tests for sophomores and juniors. However at my local college I’m taking a few part time classes. For every college course I take it counts as 1 AP course/grade. I might take Latin for a extra SAT II test.
Actual college courses may not “count as AP” for UK university admissions purposes, because it’s not standardised testing, unfortunately.
Also, you can sit APs independently.
Note that City requires SATIi scores over 650, and you have no math or science scores, which would be considered relevant for psych.
