Ok, since this is College Confidential and we are talking about SVU we can discuss DD (current HS senior)'s and my FAVORITE college ever: Hudson University!!
We crack up whenever it’s written into the show because inevitably something horrible is caused by an entitled frat boy (or athlete) who goes to Hudson. The administrators are always perpetrating coverups and the alumni are all wealthy donors who have loutish/law-breaking children enrolled.
I even ordered a Hudson University t-shirt for her off of Cafe Press or somesuch site for Christmas last year and I crack up whenever she wears it. I’m trying to convince her to wear it to school in the spring for “college t-shirt” day for the seniors.
Does anyone else get excited when Hudson U is mentioned?
I just checked the Hudson University entry on Wikipedia, and true to its nature, it’s where Dr. Cliff Huxtable attended med school. Why does that not surprise me given what Bill Cosby has been up to all these years …
Good Lord - how could I have missed that? 
Stabler was my favorite!
I just watched the episode shown last night, with the child who died being kept in a cage. Whooping and all. Nice. Wish I had taped the rest.

Baby kiddo is coming home for a week! The TV will be tuned to whatever channel is running SVU “marathons.” 
Good to know. I lost interest last season after many many years but maybe I’ll tune back in…there really isn’t much that’s grabbing me at the moment.
I haven’t really watched it much since Stabler left, but I saw the episode this year that was obviously based on the Robert Durst case, and hated it because they played up the “psycho crossdressing killer” aspect so much. Not what anyone needs. I refused to watch the one about the trans girl, but I know that a lot of people were extremely unhappy with it.
I seem to have only seen the series in reruns. I may watch some new episodes On Demand.
The college that poses as Hudson University is Wagner College. I believe it’s on Staten Island. Hudson U. sure has a high crime rate!
I don’t remember his name but not him. I don’t remember any romantic relationship between Declan and Amanda.
Along with Columbia, Fordham, NYU, among others.
In at least one of the DC Comics’ continuity, Dick Grayson/Robin attended Hudson; one would have thought that it would be one of the nation’s safest campuses. 
I lost interest in the series after Elliot Stabler left but did have the new season on the DVR. We didn’t plan to have a mini-marathon of the first three episodes last night, but dang, they were so good we couldn’t stop watching. New writers?

We always laugh about Hudson U “uh oh”. never let your kids go to Hudson! I didn’t know they have Hudson U sweatshirts. DH and I love the show - that might be a fun present.
We’ve seen Sarah Lawrence in some “Hudson” scenes as well.
