OMG the new law and order SVU season is great. Can’t believe Detective Rollins is pregnant. 
I’ve been watching Law and Order for as long as I can remember, and this by far is the best season yet.
Not terribly surprising since Kelli Giddish gave birth 3 days ago 
Except sad to see Amaro go.

Ooooooh!! Sounds exciting!! I’m a big fan of SVU. I thought I would lose interest when Elliot Stabler left, but Nick Amaro has good chemistry with Olivia, too! It’s 17 season now? I cannot believe it!!
Yea. I was upset when Stabler left. But Amaro was okay. They both have anger issues .
What? Amaro left??? I didn’t know that! We cut the cable and relying on Netflix and Amazon for the past year, so we get to see only the old episodes. I feel sooo behind!

They really kicked it up a notch this year. Glad they are continuing to improve it rather than letting it fizzle out!
Last season was so bad that I stopped watching and I was a fan from the beginning of the original L&O, having had many, many theatre friends appear in every iteration of the show. SVU got ridiculous last year. Olivia was extremely unlikeable. If it’s improved this year, I may have to have a look on demand. By the way, Danny Pino is an excellent writer and will continue writing for a few different series, as well as doing more theatre.
I never knew that; I loved him on Cold Case and look forward to seeing him in his future work.
I seem to have missed how it was that Rollins ended up pregnant - was that covered last season?
I preferred the series when the face of the show was two people, Elliot and Olivia together. With the face of the show being Olivia alone it feels weaker. And especially worse since she’s taken basically the role of 2 characters, Cragen and herself.
Barba doesn’t feel much like a lawyer. Whenever I see him… I just don’t really feel like he’s a lawyer. I don’t think he was the best casting choice.
I still watch but I’m not that enthusiastic about the series anymore. It’s also set up so that if Olivia was to leave, the show would basically be dead. There’s no one else capable of becoming the face of the show.
The first episode this season was too grim for me, but I’ve liked it since then.
@sylvan8798 I guess last season Rollins and some guy hooked up. Im not sure exactly. I didn’t know that Rollins snd Amaro were having an affair. What episode did they expose that??
It was hinted at a few times, but in one episode later in season 15, Amaro enters Rollins’ bedroom from the bathroom wearing only a towel.
I didnt really see season 16 much.
So who’s the babies father??
