Hi! I’m an international student joining the University of Houston this fall (Fall 2025), and I’m excited to start this new chapter. I’d love to connect with others who are also attending UH.

First of, congrats on committing to UH! I’ll say this: CC isn’t the best to meet fellow students. I’d recommend the following:

  1. Go look at the UH Class Of 2029 Instagram(s), they’ll have a lot of people there
  2. Look at other social platforms (reddit, discord, etc.). CC, while college focused, doesn’t see a lot of socialization between students unless its related to admissions. It’s mainly parents, but that may work if there’s any UH 2029 parents here.
  3. See if anyone from your local area is attending, if you take a peek around you may see some neighbors going to UH that you can potentially talk to. For W&L, we had an alumni chapter send off, so see if UH has an alumni chapter near you that’s hosting events that you could attend.

ok thanks for the advice(: , actually im pursuing masters so do i need to search for UH 2027 instagram accounts?

I don’t personally know; all the Instagram accounts I know of are designed for incoming undergrads, but maybe?
