Anyone else watching the Stanley Cup playoffs?

Good luck to the Hawks tonight!

Thanks! The wait has been excruciating. I’m glad it’s not on Versus. Our local “boy” Eddie O will try to maintain his neutrality, but he is a Hawk.

iiving the good life in Philadelphia. 5-5 Flyers third period and Halladay pitching the 20th perfect game in baseball history tonight.

All those people who paid the big bucks to go to the game tonight… they got their money’s worth!

Whooooo!!!

The back door neighbors are shooting off fireworks!!

Go Hawks.

And way to go Halladay. The Phillies needed a win like that.

yea, it’s a bit noisy around here, too.

If the Blackhawks had played that way in the previous series, they would have been the sweepees, not the sweepers.

I’m not arguing with you on that, CF. I dread them having to look at the orange in Phillie, too. Here’s hoping!

I can’t believe how long Hockey season lasts - I can only concentrate on one sport at a time and as far as I’m concerned, it’s baseball season. Go Phillies!

Just bumping now so I don’t have to look for it after the game. Lame, I know.

I can’t take this! Yes, Niemi.

So D2 just watched her first hockey game with us; I’m sure glad they won!

Please tell me she enjoyed it!

yes, she did! Lots and lots of questions, though. Luckily her years of playing soccer helped clarify some of the rules. She also goes to school about an hour away from Philly, but will always consider Chicago her home. As soon as it was over, she asked how many games were needed to win the Cup, and I told her best out of seven; she seemed pleased that there’d be at least two more games.

Pretty exciting game! I have to give the Flyers credit. They are playing much better hockey than I thought they would and are keeping it close. They won that 3rd period by a mile and the Hawks should be buying Niemi a few beers tonight. On to Philadelphia and Kate!

alwaysamom, you said that right! Other than last night, he has been phenominal.

teriwtt, at least she calls it a puck, I assume, whereas H always calls it a ball. He is not a hockey fan. It’s soccer for him.

Darn Flyers!

I took a break from the Hawks to watch poor Armando Galarraga get robbed of his perfect game. :(

Unbelievable. Terrible. Looks like the Flyers just got robbed of a goal too.

Well, that one I could live with. :)
