<p>I used to work with a Canadian who lived, ate breathed hockey. (Her sons are now two college hockey players.) I have her to credit for getting me hooked – and now S2 is a fan as well. If he starts cheering for the Bruins or Blackhawks when he goes to college, I’ll have to take matters into my own hands.</p>

<p>Seems we’re all unanimous in our dislike of the Flyers. We had tickets to the Sabres games for quite a while but moving to VA changed all that. Wonder if they can pull it off but not looking too good right now. </p>

<p>No question Ovechkin’s a talented player. He just seems a little too arrogant to me.</p>

<p>You probably know this already, but in Chicago there are also the AHL Wolves.
Their games are fun, and not nearly as expensive as the Blackhawks. Heck, in the last two years it’s been difficult to get Hawks tix.</p>

<p>As far as Satan, the funniest thing to us is its pronunciation. We imagine him saying, “No, it’s not SATAN, it’s Shiht-tan…” (phonetics done so the filter lets it through.)</p>

<p>I’m trying to watch at school, but none of the girls in my residential college are into sports :frowning: (very hippie-ish and non-sportsy major). Thankfully there are computers! </p>

<p>Only started watching after my Whalers (OHL team) got knocked out of the playoffs :(. Oh well!</p>
