<p>I applauded it on the bases of the truth signals it gave off. i haven’t read the books.</p>
<p>I think it’s just really irritating to see people you otherwise respect appreciating a book that does nothing for you.</p>

<p>It’s not just that though. His books are so hopeless. I didn’t like The Fault in Our Stars either. And I suppose people could argue that it’s realistic, but what’s realistic is what you choose to acknowledge, because, technically, everything is real.</p>
<p>I’ve only read Looking For Alaska and An Abundance of Katherines. Both novels have basically the same theme, similar characters, although Looking For Alaska was one of my favorite books for a while. I haven’t read The Fault In Our Stars yet, but I hear it’s really good.</p>
