Anyone heard from Cal Poly Pomona yet?

Hey if some of you are still waiting on admissions why not visit cal poly and speak with someone from admissions. I had some irregularities on my broncodirect which I had straighten out by visiting the school. Best of luck to those stilling waiting on cpp! =)

i’ll head up there tmr… btw who else is still on application received?

Still on “Referred to Impacted Plan” lulz

^That’s crazy. I believe the last orientation date is on August 30th too. Have you called them? And if so, what did they say?

That sucks that it’s on August 30th. By now, I figured all the classes would be practically gone. They started a fall adjustment period today where people can add, swap, and don’t classes.

I got everything I wanted.

I haven’t called them because it doesn’t make a bit of difference since I’m not going to CPP anyways, I just think it’s funny that they literally never gave me an admissions decision. Pretty unprofessional if you ask me.

Well, my friend is still on referred to impacted plan, but that is simply saying you are on the wait-list. This stuff doesn’t really go away I think until a specified period of time. I know they had accepted a certain amount one year but fell short and admitted a ton of people late into the summer right before school started. I heard it was a mess. But yeah.

For instance, I am classified as a “provisional admit” and have been told that won’t go away until the end of my first quarter. However, engineering is really impacted and that’s of course one of the main things Cal Poly Pomona is known for. Other majors have been rejected or are on “application complete” still.

i recently got off the application complete and therefore have been admitted to cal poly for fall on 8/16/12. I was so happy but then i checked my financial aid and i cannot view it because i have none. i don’t know what to do. should i pay my enrollment and orientation, it is due on the 24th…I’m not sure what to do :l i called the financial aid office and they told me that it may take about 6 to 9 moths for my financial aid to be reviewed. As of this point i’m very confused.

Hey so I just got admitted on August 8/16/12 too and I’m not so sure if I should accept it either. I was set to go to Cal State LA since I put down the $100 as well as attended the Orientation. My registration date is on September 12. If I want to go to CPP I would be clueless on how to transfer my Financial Aid, EPT & ELM scores, transcript, and AP scores. I am kind of interested in going CPP but I feel that I do not have enough time to get all the documents in by August 24.

you should at least try and talk to the financial aid office. was Cal poly your first choice?

Well, just applied again even though last year’s app still says “Referred to Impacted Plan”
Let’s see if they do that again.

So I applied through CSUmentor for both Cal Poly Pomona and CSULB today for Electrical Engineering. Is there anything else I have to do? I sent my SAT scores and I’m sending my transcripts tomorrow. I still feel like something is missing, or that I did something wrong, because I keep reading on this very thread that people look at their decisions through “bronco direct” or whatever. Can anyone help me on the next steps? I’d greatly appreciate it!

EDIT: By the way, does anyone know how I send Letters of recommendation and stuff?

I think Bronco is Cal Poly SLO.

really? youre gonna post saying you think or without looking it up? lol…bronco direct is CPP

Ooops…Sorry. Won’t do THAT again! I guess I better not say I don’t THINK they look at LOR’s…

csumentor is the way to go.

<a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU;

you wont be able to find out if your in till next year, I found out in april

Sent from my SPH-D700 using CC

Some people are offered admissions way past May :/

For those who are applying to CPP for Fall 2013…My daughter applied late November 2012 and received an email Dec 14, 2012 from CPP about her application…provisional admission. It read, “Thank you very much for applying to the College of Engineering at Cal Poly Pomona.* Based on your excellent academic record, the College has recommended you for admission. As a reminder, your admission will be provisional, and you must meet all deadlines as required by the Office of Admissions.* Check your email regularly for messages from Cal Poly Pomona, and view your official admissions notification status in January by logging in to BroncoDirect.” good luck to everyone on their application! …“OCmomof3”

congrats to your daughter, ocmomof3!

Now I’m getting REALLY sad/upset since I applied on October freakin’ 1st and I haven’t gotten anything. Really depressing.

Lakersince95: I’m new at posting so I see I double posted on one thread and forgot to add this comment to this thread, oops… Comment: We live in the area of Pomona (orange county) so perhaps that’s why my D heard via email about her provisional acceptance. Also, email came from the Women of Engineering at CPP. Furthermore, my D applied to Industrial engineering which is not an impacted major…Please don’t be discouraged! As I have read on this forum, applicants may not hear until the end of January thru end of March. No need to worry. Keep your spirits up!..OCmomof3
