Can someone post in three hours after West Coast airs?; watching hockey and didn’t TIVO

I’m pretty satisfied with the ending. I thought the actual episode was pretty lousy. So much wasted time.

Glad to hear the ending was good.

Fantastic…awesome… ending…

Fits with the show.

It’s true…everybody dies.

Amazing how the little things in life can make a person happy.

I am happy now.

Loved it. I’ll have to rewatch the series to just find all the Holmes/Watson parallels.

The song at the end, Enjoy Yourself, is the same song that Amber sang in that extraordinarily creepy bar scene a few seasons back.

Hope I don’t slow the thread down, but I was a big fan in the early years; lately, not so much. I had to tune in to the finale last night and did enjoy it, but was pretty out of the loop. Can anybody give a quick synopsis of major plot points leading up to it? What kind of cancer does Wilson have? What did House do that he was looking for someone to take the fall for? Any updates on the other major characters (Foreman/Cameron/Chase, Taub/13, or any of the newer ones)?

Would also appreciate a synopsis. I didnt see it.

The kind of episode that is touching and satisfying at the time, then the next morning…???

Let us know when everyone has watched it so we can stop worrying about spoilers.

Who’s baby did Cameron pick up at the end? Her own? And, who was the man? (I was too far from the TV to make him out.) Last I saw, she was married to Chase. :o

Both songs at the end were really good - the Warren Zevon one and the Enjoy Yourself one that played at the very end.

If I haven’t seen an episode in like two years, how lost would I be if I tried to watch the finale? I’d like to see it but I think the last episode I watched was when kutner died.

Completely lost. I’ve never been one to really “follow” plotlines with shows - I tend to dip in and out - so I just watched just to see House and Wilson, and I can’t tell you who most of the other characters were.

DougBetsy, we’re not told specifically, but I think the baby is Cameron’s own and the man is her husband/boyfriend. She and Chase split up because she thought Chase was becoming too much like House. But she remains ambivalent about House to the very end.

Can anyone tell what happened in last night’s episode? I had to go out and missed the show. I love the show even the recent seasons. It is not available on the web for a week following the broadcast.

^^ House pulls the ultimate prank. :)

^You made it worse:) Now I am dying.

I’m just glad that Chase got the job as head of Diagnostics. I think that was foreshadowed a few episodes back.

^^^^You’d be fine with the finale.

I don’t want to post spoilers because people may have the show DVR’ed. But why come to this forum? I’d like to help out the folks who want a synopsis, but I don’t want to ruin anything.

I will say: Wilson’s cancer is a very invasive tumor sitting on the lungs – thymus? I’m not sure. It’s too big to remove, and the chemo to shrink it, though highly invasive and state of the art, did not shrink it at all. Wilson cannot be cured. He can live longer with chemo (up to two years perhaps), but he rejected that option.

We know nothing about Cameron’s spouse or baby. They just wanted to put a bow on everyone’s life, so they did.

I loved the episode, but I think they should have hired an actress to impersonate Cuddy. The time in the building with the hallucinated presences of previous cast members really needed her. Kutner + all the women in House’s life, and now Cuddy? Oh well.

I like the juxtaposition of “Everybody Dies” with “Enjoy Yourself.” Yup. About the size of it.

I was afraid to watch the episode, but I think they arrived at the perfect ending.

Oh, and what did House do? Foreman tried to bond with him so he’d have a friend when Wilson died. To that end he purchased season tickets to? The Rangers? Not sure. House stuffed them in the toilet and flushed. He backed up the entire sewage system and massive leaks occurred and destroyed a ceiling that collapsed on an MRI machine with a patient in it and our team standing around.

Just typical, infantile House, but no major vandalism intended this time (unlike when he drove his car into Cuddy’s living room.)

I thought the series could have ended then with him on a tropical island to escape incarceration. This was less cynical and suggested that House does have an ability to connect to others, even if it’s undeveloped.

His cancer is in the brain.
