I absolutely LOVE this show! Excellent cast, excellent script, interesting & multi-faceted characters, and they handle SO well the subject of cancer, living & exploring one’s life and relationships, and other topics. The last episode is next week and I am sad that it will end so soon!

So rare to find quality, scripted and well-acted drama on T.V. Bravo Showtime! (No pun intended on the “other” Bravo network. )

I’m a fan! Great cast, some funny and some tender moments. I was told In Treatment was great too but I think I’d have to start from the first season…

Amen to this. The writing and Gabriel Byrne (as well as most of the other actors), are phenomenal. It would be best if you could rent the earlier seasons, as there’s some context it would be helpful to know.

I enjoy The Big C because of Laura Linney, but it’s not in the same league.

I rarely watch the Big Three any more except for the first ten minutes of Letterman. Everything that I go out of my way to watch is on AMC, HBO and Showtime. The Big C is so much fun. Every role was well cast. LOVE her brother on the show…he is a hoot. I was never been a fan of Laura Linney in the past but The Big C has converted me.

Ellen, I agree with you about Laura Linney. I have always been somewhat indifferent to her, but I really like her in this role. I also really like Oliver Platt as her husband.

The homeless brother is my favorite; I love how they do a good job in portraying a “real” 14 yr old teenager with all of the teenage angst. Liam Neeson was hilarious as the “Bee Man” (favorite line: “Just call me B.M.”).

I don’t know how it will all end this week.

(Love “In Treatment” – got hooked on it last year, but never got the time this time 'round to “get into it”. But still, agree with all that it’s another, well-written show, which is rare.)

Anyone see the last episode from last night? I just watched it via sidereel.com

Man, the last seen with Adam got to me. I have one of those seemingly un-emotional teen-age boys. I have no idea where they will go with the plot next season, but I really enjoyed these 13 episodes!

We just saw the last episode last night. DH and I looked at each other and said “Wow…didn’t see that coming!” So well done - talk about a cliff hanger! We have watched both seasons and just love it. It’ll be hard to wait until next season to see what happens.

Ditto every single word that is in Post #2. I LOVE this show and wish the season was longer. Haven’t seen this week’s episode yet. (I kind of wish that Showtime would stop having good shows because then I could downgrade my Comcast package. First we were hooked on The Tutors. Now this one. I’m in for sure until this one ends.)

Love this show, I did not realize there was a show the last 2 weeks, I thought it ended with Weeds season finale. Now i need to catch up! Glad I saw this post!

Just finished the last episode and I really have enjoyed this season. I was not expecting that ending but it sure adds another dimension to this story. Sure hope it is back for another season.
