Anyone watching Billions?

I absolutely love this show and was super excited for the start of season 4. For those who watch, what were your thoughts? I thought the episode played out differently than any previously episode. At first I loved it, then hated it, then loved it again. I think the storyline is quite intriguing and it’ll be interesting to see where it goes.

Ha! My husband had that same “love it, hate it, love it” experience with the episode. I am very “team Chuck” and I loved seeing him maneuver politically without the power that he once had. I loved the scene with Chuck and his father, as well as the interactions between Chuck and Axe. I hope they stay on the same side for a while. I need to go back to the last season to refresh my memory on why the Russian oligarch is so loyal to Taylor because that seems like it is going to be Axe’s big battle this season. Not sure why I can’t remember! Overall though I thought it was a great start and I’m looking forward to the next episode.

Billions is one of our favorite shows. We have loved it from the beginning, even when unable to fully follow the details. The actors are fun to watch, not 100% on Malkovich character. I read a funny line about Billions yesterday “Billions is back and it’s the worst best show on TV - it’s ridiculous and entertaining as hell!” And I go to Vulture.com recaps after every show (both a need and want), very helpful.

I loved it the first two seasons and felt that Season 3 became very close to an outlandish hard rock show. There was no room for me to care about the characters or where the show was going. I’m hoping season 4 reels me back in.

I love “the worst best show on TV…”

I like it very much. And agree it’s easier for me emotionally when Axe and Chuck are on the same side. When they aren’t, I go Team Axe.

I loved Season 1 and Season 2. Agree with Waiting2exhale’s assessment of Season 3. I plan to watch the first episode of the new season this weekend–I promised H that I wouldn’t watch without him.

The actors that I really enjoy are Paul Giamatti and Maggie Siff (she play’s Chuck’s wife and Bobby’s therapist guru). Giamatti is an amazing actor. I saw him do a performance at a Ted-talk type conference with this group:www.theaterofwar.com.

Maggie Siff is a Bryn Mawr College alum (which doesn’t even have a theater major–although it has a theater department). My kid is a BMC alum too.

Loved Taylor in the past, not sure what they’re doing with her now. Love Wags. Don’t like to look at Chuck and don’t get Wendy.

Does anyone else say “f#%*ing” every other word after watching that show? Is it just me?

Interesting review of Billions in the April 1 edition of the New Yorker.

Love it! I was surprised to see a season 4 - thought the final episide of season 3 with Chuck and Axe making peace was a good finale. But glad it is back. Last episode with Chuck’s big revelation - wow! Love Wags and Dollar Bill. I always tape show so I can rewind and play again as needed, there is a lot happening.
