Anyone watching Scandal!

One of the best things about this season is not having to watch Fitz-Olivia trying to make their awful romance work. I hated them as a couple. Much bigger fan of her and Jake.

That said, enjoying the intrigue but also miss the seasons when there was one thing every week that got resolved - the cases her firm took on and mostly finished in one episode. I guess I prefer TV with one thing always beginning and ending in the episode and a longer running story along with it.

I’m looking forward to figuring out where Jake fits into all these new twists and turns. I’m wondering if he is independent of both Rowan and the new bad guys in all of this and I’m wondering if they were all clueless about his efforts to save Jennifer until she surfaced.

Just finished last night’s episode. Stop if you don’t want spoilers.

I am liking where the story is heading with all the Gladiators back working together one way or the other and Huck alive. Jake is a good guy for sure or that’s what we are supposed to believe. I still never know what Shonda has in store for us, so I won’t commit to 100% belief in Jake or Marcus. I liked Olivia and Jake searching for Huck, but I also like Olivia/Fitz at the end. I thought I only missed a few seconds due to the news cut in, but after reading the Vulture recap, I realize I missed more than I thought. Not so much in time, but story development. I’m still anxious to figure out how David Rosen is going to fit into this with our new female villain.

Wow, what a freakin episode! I liked it but was so frightened the whole time!!! The water scene was very difficult for me to watch (underwater in open bodies of water scares me) - and my daughter had warned me about the Quinn/Meg scene so I didn’t look…

Agreed that I loved seeing the “team” working together again. LOVED the look on Jake’s face when Olivia kicked into action. (he is SOO handsome!) Kudos to Charlie for talking to Olivia but I feel SO bad about Quinn. I’m thinking we are going to see Charlie go back to being the bad guy for the other side now …which kind of stinks!

Great to see Olivia and Fitz interact again.

You knew it was going to be bad when they had the graphic nature warning beginning of show and mid way!!!

@abasket I had to fast forward through the Quinn/Meg scene!

2vu0609…my ending cut away too. What did we miss in that last minute?

Here is the last two paragraphs of a Scandal recap from an online site if you want to know the last few minutes details - hopefully this covers the very, very end:

Everyone comes to the hospital, even Fitz. There’s something really special about all the main characters coming together again for Huck, and it makes the conversation between Fitz and Olivia all the more poignant. Fitz has forgiven Olivia for what she’s done to get the Oval, and Olivia has forgiven Fitz, so she has to forgive Abby. And if anyone can bring Abby back from the darkness, it’s Olivia. But no matter what happens with Olivia and Abby, it’s Quinn who might be hurting the worst. She’s at Huck’s bedside, yelling at his unconscious body because he’s more interested in protecting everyone else than he is in himself. She says he has a blind spot, and she’ll watch it for him, but he can’t die. As she starts to leave his room, Huck wakes up. Quinn climbs in his bed, and Charlie realizes that maybe Quinn wasn’t his after all. Celebrate with me, Huckleberry Quinn fans!

Outside, Olivia stands with that Olivia face, and it makes you wonder after all this crazy… maybe Olivia is coming back down to earth. She sits down with Abby outside, who clearly realizes how far out of her lane she’s driven. She grabs Abby’s hand, and Abby breaks down. Could it be that the entire OPA family is finally home? Could it be that we’ve returned to good ol’ Scandal? Only time will tell.

Thanks, @abasket. That recap is better than the description in the Vulture synopsis.

I haven’t looked for a recap before, but it was kind of a reminder of all that happened!

Wow! Thanks for the recap! My DVR cut off the whole part with QUinn and Huck.

You’re welcome. I’m a novice gladiator. Not wearing my white hat but trying my best to “fix” things.

Yowza! I can’t wait to find out who those horrid people are and who gets to knock that witch off!

Spoiler"…

So glad to see Olivia and Fitz reunite. Loved see Huck in Olivia’s robe and in her bed, cracked me up. Sometimes I have to remind myself Huck slaughtered all those jurors way back in the bus and he’s not such a great guy. Great show…great season!

Am I the only one who can’t help thinking of that secret organization as WD-40? B-)

…and I was like “oh no, here we go again…blech”

Some of the dialogue with the two bad people was off to me, when they were threatening Mellie, but I got past it.

Hard to feel sorry for Cyrus when you know he didn’t kill the pres-elect but DID kill people to get the pres-elect some good press.

I love Olivia and Fitz together, always have. One of the sexiest moments on TV ever for me was when he said to her “Just stand here with me,” or words to that effect, outside a closed door when he was campaigning for President. SO happy to see them back together, I hope permanently!

I was thinking that what Mellie should have done when they left after the murder was pick up the phone, call the Washington Post, and say send a reporter and a photographer and expose the whole thing: these people had Frankie Vargas killed, I refused threw them out of my office, the killed Liz, they threatened to kill my children, but I will not bow to their threats.

it’s the cover-up that gets you, every time.

I know, but she’s seen how brutal they are. If someone threatened my kids, I would have called Olivia, too.

I also can’t imagine how they expect Mellie to get rid of the body and all of the blood evidence. Well, I guess they expect her to call Olivia…

I have to say that I am happy to see the last of Liz, though. I always detested her character.

^ agree on Liz. Her character was awful.

There was a weird time jump between Jake grabbing whatshisname the AG at his fridge and the following scene, I thought, How did he get out of his apartment? Explain to Evil Woman in his bedroom?

I’m not a fan of Olivia and Fitz. I wish we didn’t have to go there.

Just finished this week’s episode. Count me as another who is glad to see Liz gone from the scene, but what a way for them to get rid of her! I can’t understand why Olivia didn’t tell Fitz about the threat to kill his kids if Mellie didn’t acquiesce to the bad guys. I was happy that Fitz had her dad taken to the WH and can’t wait to see how they are going to work to take these people down. I’ve said this before, but every time they cross a line and make me think I can’t keep watching because it’s too bizarre, they do something to pull me back in.
