AP Biology-How to Score a 5, including which Review Book? Essay Help-2008 Topics?

I took AP Bio last year and got a 5 on the exam, and I think I (mainly) owe my success to Barron’s.

I read the whole Barron’s book a full week before the exam (the SAT II was on the Saturday the week before the exam). I at least got to see all of the bolded words and know what sections they pertain to (even if I didn’t remember the specifics about each term). I was able to know that a chaperone is a protein, and not some weird parenting term that describes species behavior. Just the skim helped.

And the Barron’s questions are definitely harder than those on the actual AP. As I was sitting there taking the test, I was wondering why I had studied so hard.

As for the essays, don’t be too worried. Remember that the graders won’t ever deduct points, so just write everything you know about the topic, even if it’s just remotely related.

Good luck on the exam :)
