AP English Lit or ERWC for senior year?

Hello! I am registering for my senior year classes and so far it looks like this:
•Spanish at community college over the summer (counts as AP credit)
•Honors Wind Ensemble
•AP Economics / AP American Government
•AP Biology
•AP Calculus BC
•Golf
•Advanced Digital Photography (2nd semester only)
•Unsure about taking ERWC (Expository Reading and Writing Course designed to prepare you for college, it’s between regular and AP English but it’s not Honors) or AP English Lit.

I am currently taking AP English Language and Comp. and overworked myself to get an A last semester. I have a good relationship with the teacher of AP Lit. and I’d like to get AP credit and a GPA boost, but I’m not very interested in the content of AP English Lit., I’m not going to be an English major (I plan to major in the STEM field), and I’m already taking 4 AP classes and 1 Honors without AP English. And then there’s the continuation of extracurriculars! Your thoughts are much appreciated!

Sounds like you’ve already made up your mind to take EWRC :).
Go ahead, Admissions never hinge on honors v. AP in a class.

You might appreciate it later even if you don’t now. Building a lifelong reading habit of advanced material helps you in whatever field you go into.

@MYOS1634 Haha I guess I am leaning in that direction  However, it only counts as a regular class. Could dropping from AP language junior year down to regular ERWC senior year affect a decision?

No. Also the most selective colleges don’t use weighted GPA - and in any case one class out of 28 wouldn’t move the needle.

@MYOS1634 Good point, thank you so much for your advice!

EWRC is this?
