Has anyone successfully appealed the NHS dismissal hearing for a first time marijuana charge? Thank you.
Honestly, colleges do not care at all about NHS. I can’t answer your question, but I wouldn’t worry about trying to appeal. I would be more concerned if this has been written up and discussed with your counselor. Focus on that. Meet with your counselor to discuss your options if it has.
Thank you Lindagaf. My son’s school does not share this info. with the colleges as it is a first time offfense, and is behavioral. He really wants to appeal and take his chances as he feels he has nothing to lose. Do you think appealing would sour the teacher-staff panel that comprises the NHS judgement panel at his high school? I’m thinking he should move on, but a part of me also agrees with him that he has nothing to lose. What are your thoughts? Thx
Is there a specified appeal process for this? What’s the appeal based on - that he didn’t have/use marijuana or that he did but it shouldn’t cause his dismissal from NHS?
