Applying for financial aid when parent last name different from child

Hello,
I got divorced 7yrs ago but haven’t changed my name back to my maiden name. If I change it now, will this be an issue when applying for financial aid or loan for my daughter when she goes to college? Thanks.

There are plenty of married couples with different last names, so I don’t see why this would be an issue.

Also, to protect your privacy you may want to change your username. Here’s how.

My daughter and I have different last names. It’s never been an issue, and I imagine is quite common.
