@sybbie719 is one of our NY public school experts.

You need to bring copies of your school records, not just your exam results. You also need your vaccinnation records. The public schol district where you will be living will determine your placement, and will let you know which classes you need to take in order to fulfill graduation requirements.

In order register for school in NYC, you will need the following

https://www.schools.nyc.gov/enrollment/enrollment-help/new-students

You will go to the welcome center in the borough in which you live.

While you belong to the graduating cohort based on the year that you started 9th grade any where in the world, once your transcript is evaluated, you will be placed in a grade based on the number of credits you have toward getting a diploma in NYC/NYS

For example: in order to go from 10th grade to 11th grade, you will need a minimum of 20 credits, which includes 2 years (4 credits of high school english) and 2 years (4 credits) of social studies - 2 years of global history

You will have to pass the NYC regents exams in English, Mathematics and US History.
If you are placed in the 11th grade the Global History regents will be waived.

If you are placed in the 12th grade; the Global History and the Living Environment regents will be waived. However, you will still need to fulfill any credits associated with these exams.
