@TGAllen many other, including myself, did 4/48 (well actually I did 4/49 because it’s inclusive)

4 8pi circumfrence. 2pir = circumfrence…ye

What did u guys put for the solution x^2-16=-6x
The choices were -8, 8, 2, 4rad2

There are 8 of those arcs in a full circle. permiter = 8pi.

8pi = 2pi r

r=4

I think it was x^2-16=6x (positive 6x)
but I got 8.

i thought it was positive 6x. But if not itd be -8

If it was -6x, then I did a lot worse than I would expect. I was hoping for a 34, but at this rate, I’m probably getting a 30ish.

I dont remember the question or choices exactly but you solve it like this:

x^2-6x-16 = 0
(x+2)(x-8) = 0

x = -2 and x = 8

for arc of pi. arclength = theta x radius. pi=pi/4 x r. r=4

hey what did you guys get for Y for those two equations involving x, y, a, and b?

i said Y = -(a+b)/2

@unsfilms Yeah It was something like that; I know it was divided by 2.

No u guys are right it was positive 6X. I knew something was wrong because i kept getting -8 & 2

It was 16%?? Gosh darn it. I missed that one.

I thought the math was actually pretty easy this time! Then again I always think the math is pretty easy and then I miss a few. Bleh. Oh well, I felt /especially/ good this time. No complex trig/radian problems like I was expecting.

What did you guys get on that one toward the end that gave you a system of two equations in which the sum/difference of x and y were a and b, respectively? I think I got -(a+b)/2. That was the one that I felt the most unsure of.

Yeah same here, I got -((a+b)/2)

I ****ed up on the 16% one. And yeah Jordan idk about the -(a+b)/2

I’m pretty sure the answer was (b-a)/2

it was (b-a)/2. i’m pretty positive on that.

can someone plz post the two triangle questions w/ solutions being

1) 2:3 ratio where answer was 30
2) 5:6:9 ratio where answer was 45.

I can’t remember these questions and I’d appreciate seeing the question + solution so I can try to remember what I put. thanks guys.

It was definitely -(a+b)/2

x+y=-a
x-y=b

solve for y.

i would multiply the top by -1 though there are other ways and get

-x-y=a
x-y=b
Add them

-2y= a+b

y= -(a+b)/2

Am i missing something?

(-3, 3) and (-3, -3) for the circle question

One question was $6000 but I don’t remember which one and it was something like 153 for how many people did both
