I think I solved for X
-_____-

what’s -2 on ACT math. ugh this is frustrating I got a 36 on math last time and I made a couple really stupid, careless errors this time :(

The answer was -64 for the geometric sequence

EDIT-nvm 10 char

wasnt it positive 64?

it was the 7th term and it started with 1.

1st= 1
2nd= -2
3rd= 4
4th= -8
5th= 16
6th= -32
7th= 64

I believe you’re right. They were showing a series of (-2)^n

This Math section was MUCH harder than other ones, in my opinion. You guys agree?

i thought math was pretty easy, im a math-oriented student though.

I thought this Math section was easier than the official practice tests I did. I know that I missed one for sure but I’m confident about the rest.

For all you people who thought 2-50 even #s w/ digits in the tens place being half the ones digit, isn’t that 8% (rounded to)
I thought it was 12,24,36,48…
That’s 4/48 no?

I thought it was 4/48 when I took the test, but I’m convinced now it is 4/24.

The answer to the geometric sequence was 64. -64 wasn’t even an answer on there.

What was the logic question about the parade and rain?

kobe, what number was that?

the last one

anyone remember what the last 8 answers were on the math (#52-60)??

The correct answer was K, the last choice. “If the parade is not canceled, then it is not raining.”

I’m sorry but I still don’t get the lcd problem. can someone post the problem and solution on here? The ones on the front page were all over the place

yeah, thanks. that’s what I put

okay you guys time to do real math. great that you got the right answers, but your processes are so off it’s depressing.

2-50 even is 25 numbers, not 24. 4/24 is 16.7%. 4/25 is 16%. don’t believe me? count it out. 2-50 even is the same number of numbers as 1-25 inclusive.
it’s 12, 24, 36, 48.

for the helicopter one, draw out a coordinate plane. the first point was in the first quadrant, and the second point in the third (top-right and bottom-left). now that you have those two points, draw a right triangle, with the hyp as the straight line between them. you know the coordinates, label the legs and use pythagorean thm.
hypotenuse was 26 (originally a typo here).

parade was a logic question:
if A then B.
so the CONTRAPOSITIVE is
if NOT B then NOT A
