Are business majors on the Tempe campus?

I read that there is business at the polytechnic and west campus. But I was wondering is there also business on the Tempe campus? Is the poly/west campus just for the people who can’t get into the program on the tempe campus?

Also on the following sight, there is 2 options for business majors. With the first one so you get in the Carey school of business as a freshmen?

The business college is actually based at the Tempe campus. ASU offeres business classes at the west and polytechnic campuses for those who live near there. Like, if you are doing CS major and live near the polytechnic campus, and want to take some general business classes, you take it at that campus.

About the Carey Direct Program.
There are two programs you can be a part of as a freshman for the business college track. The first is Carey Direct, where you are already part of the business school, but need to maintain a certain GPA by junior year to be automatically accepted. There is also something called Dean’s Select, which is what I got. I am not in the business school, but if I keep a 3.5 GPA, I will be accepted into the business college without applying.

When it says “Students who do not meet freshmen admission requirements must select a second major choice outside the W. P. Carey School of Business.” This also includes majors like Pre-Marketing or Pre-Supply Chain Management. As a pre-business major, you aren’t part of the business college, but are starting your track to the college. W.P. Carey is for Juniors and Seniors and very gifted Freshman

When you apply to ASU as a pre-business major, you should get a letter telling you if you are in Carey Direct of Dean’s Select within a month or two. What are your stats? 2 of my friends are in the Carey Direct, I can compare for you.

Don’t take my word on all of this, but I am pretty sure.

I was also admitted as Dean’s Select, but I don’t think it really makes much of a difference. You most likely won’t be taking upper level business class until you’re a junior or a senior anyway, and if you can’t maintain a decent GPA, you have more problems than staying in the business school.

The Tempe campus is the primary site for business.

^^ Yea that’s true, but it was cool getting that certificate thing.

But, when you go to apply to the business school and you are Dean’s select, you won’t even have to be looked at. My sister’s friend who had a 3.5 GPA and was President of Phi Beta Kappa (Future Business Leaders of America) didn’t get into the Business College. It gets really selective, so it’s nice to automatically be considered.

Students who meet the following criteria are admitted to the W. P. Carey School of Business in their first major choice. Professional Program

1160 SAT Reasoning or 25 ACT score
OR
Top 8% high school class

I meet these requirements. But I don’t meet Carey Direct bc my ASU gpa is a 3.5

The stats you just listed are only for the pre-professional program, which basically allows you to say “I have the chance to be a business major”.

Unfortunate about your GPA, interestingly I had the same problem, my ABOR GPA is a 3.5 while my SAT scores were much higher than required, damn IB classes.

yah i’m in way too many ap’s and honors and that killed me. oh well, i’m sure I won’t have any trouble getting into the business school. i doubt the classes will be too overwhelming.
