because I am. Slacker, procrastinator, etc.
I slept through my english class today… which put the icing on my slacker cake.
I think I am supposed to be at a play rehersal…but instead I am currently straightening my hair… wait I’m typing on an online forum… so I am procrastinating at this very moment. hey you slackers out there, whats your best slacker story?

I procrastinated studying for my calculus final, which is notoriously difficult and for which there was no curve. I nearly died during the final…

I slept a coupla times in French class…that ticked off the teacher, who later ticked me off with her annoying nagging…

And I procrastinate on a nightly basis on homework…I’m supposed to be studying ahead for winter term…and guess what…I’m not…bwahaha…

I should be at swim practice, but I decided to have an OC party instead. I’ve got my priorities straight.

That is the best slacker-ing you can do? I manage to sleep through all 5 of my AP classes, and still maintain a 4.0 GPA. I just will read the textbook before tests and do fine.

My finest slacker moment was doing a 40 page calc summer work packet from 11 PM - 6 AM the night before the first day of school. I had had the entire summer to do the packet.

yeah holla my fellow AP Procrastination students!

lets see… i have a lot of slacker moments but I love how I have not read any of my geometry textbook or done the homework and the final is next saturday… I have a week to pull it off, but I put money on the fact that I won’t crack this book until saturday morning. The class is so easy though, I am passing on class notes alone

I’m worse than Sen.

I had all summer to do homework for APUSH and APCOMP. 2 days before school started, I read a book and wrote 2 essays on it for APCOMP. The night before school started, I read 4 chapters of history and did notes on it.

Lately, I’ve been ironing out bits and pieces of my academics and my life. Lalala…

Oh and I had a 4.0. This semester I believe it’s going to be a 3.75 (I have to be almost perfect for my APUSH -from now on actually, I think it might be too late to slide with a 90%). I had 6 classes but had to drop 2 at the CC for medical reasons.

You take notes!!!
I just sit ther and listen to conversatiosn are me, go home, play computer games, do hw while watching tv(if i remeber that i had any :D) , and i have never studied before in my highschoollife…

To tell the truth, i was trying hard for elementary and middle…but after i was told that those grades dont count… i stopped trying…

Taking Notes? No. It’s called habitual nocturnal osmosis.

It just sinks in.

my parents pushed me hard to get straight As in middle school. i went to a private school so it was pretty tough getting As. then first year of highschool i found out that those grades dont really count for anything. =/

i dont know about you guys. i will push my child hard in middle school but not kill him over his studies. ill have him do hecka ECs. then in highschool when he doesnt perform. HIS @$$ is grass. =)

Well, that’s just today’s example. I fell asleep before studying for my bio midterm last year. Purposely. Anyway, I got one of the better grades in the class. And then for the final, I decided to study like crazy. Myself and a few other people who usually do really well got C-'s. I love how those things work out.

Ehh… I’m a bit of a slacker too. But you guys need to meet my senior pal. He takes 2 classes Math and English, basically just required classes and got into U of M and Boston. Got a 35 on the ACT and nearly perfect SAT. Spends a lot of time wandering the halls while teachers say “You need to try harder! Please try harder!” Man this kid has it good…

I decided to self-study a class last summer. there were 30 chapters we had to know, and I did 15 of them the day before my final and got the year’s high score. xD owned

WOW! What class?

well, I have major internal assessment, GROUP 4 (for IB bio HL) due tomorrow
and I’m doing this, and shopping for christmas gift :p

I have major issues with slacking. I can’t control it!!

Hmm…when I did AP Computer Science independent study…I did NONE of the optional assignments…I barely read anything…I got an A- on the final…and voila! I bombed the AP exam.

I slack hardcore and love it. Test in APUSH today on everything from George Washington to Andrew Jackson. Didnt study and thought I was going to get owned but got a 96%. Never do math hw because its useless…but my teachers dont care because I already know everything. What else? Oh i dide about 2 weeks of AP US history notes (about 20 writting pages) last night. It seems that I do much better when slacking than when I used to work my butt off. Straight A’s 6 qtrs so far with slacking so hey why stop now!
lol

I bet there are a lot of closet studiers on CC.

For the past four years I have slept very little the night before exams (if at all). I just can’t make any headway before the last day/night. And I find this thread strangely narcissistic.

Entire english project that most people spent about 4-5 weeks on, done in the 3 periods preceeding the class, 92% take that.

sleeping literally through 1/3 of chemistry 1 and still taking ap chem.

never reading a single page of gov and still getting a b

never doing a single math problem for homework and still getting a 95

pretty much never doing any homework and still top ten in my class

not taking public speaking bc i simply dont want to and still graduating.

not taking gym because of above reason.

yeah pretty much, people hate me.
