Are you excited about the royal wedding?

YDS -

This link is broken and I’d love to see the pictures. Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks!

LasMa - the dress immediately reminded me of a combination of Grace Kelly’s and Maria’s from The Sound of Music

Try this:

thank you!

I thought the empty chair was Harry’s seat after the vows and the wedding party sat down. Did they say it was in memory of Diana?

GA2012mom - I think you are correct. Harry sat next to Camilla.

Did anyone else see them driving out of the Palace to Clarence House? That was the cutest thing! They borrowed one of Charle’s convertables and it was decorated in such a youthful fashion! The newscasters were shocked!

What happened? Did someone get married?

If I were Kate Middleton, that’s precisely what I’d want to be thought of. While not a fan of the neckline in general, she looked beautiful and importantly, very restrained and elegant. Given how much the wedding costs, I think it was in good taste not to have a showy, glamourous, over the top look.

theaterbrat, what?? They ditched the reception already?

Loved her dress, loved her flowers. Loved her sister’s dress. Loved, loved, loved the trees in the Abby. I thought that Sarah and Andrew’s daughters looked ridiculous.

Loved the ride in the Aston-Martin!

Funny that some of the TV commentators have said that Kate’s dress is symbolic of how she will be “traditional”. I don’t get that at all. I think the dress is lovely and fits her style, but I see this couple as a breath of fresh air.

Humm, I went to a watch-the-wedding ceremony this morning, complete with champagne, choco croissants, tiaras (from party store), None of us were impressed by the gown. I like lace tops, but would have preferred rounded neckline. I didn’t like the bottom at all–too heavy. I’d have preferred more a-line, with lace overlay. Pippa, on the other hand, was outstanding!!! I liked the Queen’s outfit on Monday better than this yellow suit and boring hat. Becket looked amazing.

I loved the gown. Thought it was perfect for the occasion. Kate looked beautiful. The couple looked very happy. That really was cute when they came out in the Aston-Martin with William driving.

I thought the dress top would be more sheer, less lace. I think she showed great restraint to wear something so elegant and less va-va-va-voom.

Who is Becket?

Where did everyone see the footage of them leaving in the Astin Martin? I can only find re-runs of earlier coverage.

No, I am not.

YDS, I meant David Beckham. Sorry, I’m exhausted

Yeah, it was just light finger foods and mingling. They will have a “time of reflection” at Clarence House and then the big disco tonight.

LasMa, They came out in the Aston Martin convertible on live TV(I saw it on the Today Show). No one was expecting it. William was driving and the car had all kinds of balloons trailing at the back. They waved to a very excited crowd.
