Are you excited about the royal wedding?

ditto. Could it be that Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie wanted to somehow show displeasure that their mother wasn’t invited or do they just have bad taste??

I thought she looked lovely (didn’t pick up on the tiredness) but I’m in the minority of two (me and bookworm) who didn’t love the dress personally. I think I’ve never been a fan of lace overlay for the bodice. I was hoping for something a bit more fashion forward, yet still elegant. Oh well, she looked wonderful.

Off to google Fergie’s girls - I didn’t see them.

Back from my googling: Oh, lord. The hemline on the blue dress looks like a mistake (IDK which princess is which so I’m just using colors to differentiate), as did her hairstyle. The taupe/champagne coatdress (?) looked dowdy - maybe there was a nice and youthful dress underneath?

I thought Princess Beatrice was channeling Lady Gaga with her hat …

Didn’t know who Fergie’s girls were at first. They looked like Cinderella’s evil stepsisters.
Seriously–it was as if they were trying to look like outlandishly horrid cartoon characters.

^^precisely!!

Did you notice them riding in the car back to the palace? Princess B’s hat prevented her from sitting upright. They have provoked conversation…

Totally missed Fergie’s girls earlier, so I googled them. After I stopped laughing, I decided that if I couldn’t say anything nice about what they were wearing, I would not say anything.

So - their shoes were fine.

Funny commentary, including dissing a woman with a recent nose job?

I loved the dress. I love lace. I have a large bride doll from when I was a little girl and the dress is similar. The Barbie wedding gown from my childhood had tulle long sleeves too and those were my idea of the fairy tale wedding gowns. I am so sick of the cookie cutter strapless gowns. Only about 1 in 20 girls look good in them.

I guess I was a little sleepy… I thought at first that Andrew’s girls were just shown in the crowd because of their strange hats/outfits. Then I thought the one (tan) hat looked like antlers… or had she actually had her hair shaped into that form? But the rest of the wedding was just beautiful, even if it did make me late to work today :)

Tara P-T blew out her nose septum with cocaine. That is what they are digging at. She has done a lot of reality TV I think.

Oh my. ^^^^^

atomom, I laughed almost as much at your comment as I did when I saw the photo. Yeeesh… every family has its weirdos.

I thought Dr. Suess.

What a lovely ceremony! I thought I would be watching alone because DH fell asleep in the middle of the pre-ceremony coverage, but he woke up precisely the moment the bride stepped out of the car and watched the rest with me (it started at midnight where we are today).

I want to see Victoria Bekham’s custom Louboutins. Need to get to my laptop to google photos!!!

And I thought “Cirque du Soleil”. But I kind of feel sorry for the girls. They’ve got kind of tough place in the family tree.

Bah! Humbug!

I looked at the pictures again of Beatrice & Eugenie and they really were worse than I could tell on TV. I’d love to find out the name of the stylists that sold them the dresses! Do you not think for an occassion such as this those 2 girls would have come across a sane, honest person that would have said, “Stop, Walk Way from those dresses and forget the hats!”

Sorry, that was mean of me  but what were they thinking? (Or who did that to them?) These girls have money and access to designer fashions. I’m a complete tomboy with little fashion sense-- I bet I could’ve made them look prettier with stuff from a thrift store or Walmart.

Otherwise, a lovely bride, a beautiful ceremony, a happy day!

They were designer fashions! Vivienne Westwood and Valentino.
