Are You Ready For Some Football!!!!

NFL season starts tonight. Baltimore vs. Denver.

Tebow was cut.
Sanchez wont’ start for the Jets.
Boldon has a new team.
RGIII is untested this season.

Lots of stuff going on this year. Fun! Fun!

I am SO ready for some football!

1 Packers (through great years, and horrible decades, always, and forever.)

Far, far down is

2 (tie) Ravens and 'Skins (live midway between the two, and local sentiment is split between them.)

GO PACK GO! I miss living in the greater Green Bay area.

And, GO BILLS!! My dad had season tickets until he decided that he shouldn’t drive so far to the games after age 80.

I’m so ready, I’ll be deferring Breaking Bad until after the Giants beat Dallas on Sunday night.

Two streaks colliding. Giants 0-6 when opening season against Dallas. Giants have never lost at Cowboy Stadium.

Go Big Blue!

It’s all about the Seahawks! Definitely a super bowl caliber team this year.

Also packer fans How’d you like that game winning interception that Russell Wilson threw last year?

Yea, baby!

We’re going to the Packers/Browns game at Lambeau in October!

Gotta love the Hawks. The guy they expected to be the third string quarterback works his way up and takes the team to the playoffs his first year.

Go Cowboys! (even though I have a near-pathological dislike of Jerry Jones and Tony Romo)

Don’t watch or pay attention to football (anymore).

In Denver for business (had trouble getting a hotel room downtown at a reasonable rate) and saw people walking in Bronco jerseys early this am. ??? Then more and more and more. Thick and fast they came at last!!! Then someone told me the home opener was tonight. Ah ha.

Incidentally, first date with DH was to a Broncos game back in Elway days. Only professional football game we have ever been to.

Yeah, well, I guess there is always hope at the beginning of the season, but as a Browns fan it doesn’t usually last too long. Maybe the Steelers will be bad this season and I can tease all those fans I live among.

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/09/06/sports/football/manning-throws-7-touchdown-passes-as-broncos-rout-ravens.html?_r=0</a></p>

I watched the first half and I wasn’t sure which team was better. I guess Manning answered that question in the second half.

I was excited last week when College ball started too. Now with both Saturday and Sunday set, I’m a happy camper. My team however is the worst of the worst. I think they’re rated #33. Oh well.

NFL and NCAA, it’s football season baby!!

NFL- love my Chicago Bears but I’ll also be cheering on my home state Packers and Eddy Lacy.

NCAA- Roll Tide Roll!!

Football season is starting off bad for me so far. My alma mater’s team, South Florida Bulls, got crunched in an embarrassing opening loss last Saturday, and my friend DuJuan ‘Foxx’ Harris is out for season with GB Packers after suffering a knee injury. Hopefully, USF will beat Michigan State tomorrow, and Foxx will be back on field for Packers for NFL playoffs this season.

[Green Bay Packers had big plans for DuJuan Harris - NFL.com](Green Bay Packers had big plans for DuJuan Harris)

That happens at every hour of every day in and around Pittsburgh. People regard wearing their steelers jerseys and sweatshirts as dressing up. :)

I will be ready for some Seahawks football when I get my WOC. :D

For now, it is Go Huskies!!!

teriwtt: I am Packers green with envy. When we lived in WI, we used to take the train back home to NY in order to watch the Pack play in what’s now “the Ralph” in Buffalo. It was cheaper to do that for a family of four than to pay scalper’s prices for tickets in Green Bay. Fortunately my father did not mind sitting with two young granddaughters sitting beside him with their cheeseheads on.

Idiot that I am, I forgot Sunday was the first football Sunday and signed up for a 2-10 home health aide job… hopefully my client is a football fan, 'cause with my luck both the Pack and the Bills will be on local television (since the home team Eagles aren’t on til Sunday).

My poor Alaska daughter tries to eat brats during televised Packers games, even though they start 9 a.m. her time!

I’m a totally disgusted Jets fan…football season can’t end soon enough for me.

Actually, I’ll still watch and root for the Giants (my sons’ favorite team). Anthing’s better than rooting for the Jets.

KKmama - well, as of this morning, our planned game day may be changed to an earlier October game with the Lions; that doesn’t thrill me as it is a noon game (the one against the Browns is a 3PM game), so in order to tailgate before the game, we’ll have to leave home around 6AM! D1 is coming in from Boston with her roommate, who D1 converted to a Packers fan. So it will be roommate’s first time at Lambeau.

I’m assuming you know that pretty much every major city in the U.S. has a designated Packers bar. D1 has one in Boston she goes to, and D2 in LA has one she goes to. D2’s new boyfriend (well, new since last season ended) is a huge 49ers fan, and that’s the Packers opening game Sunday! I texted her the other night to find out how they were going to manage this weekend; she texted me back saying, it might just tear them apart! She’s going to the Packers bar without him. ;)

As a Raider fan not much to look forward to this year. At least we are headed in the right direction now that Al Davis is out of the picture. Still a couple of years away.
