Are You Ready For Some Football!!!!

Getting crazy? I think they have been crazy for a long time. :)

I am curious how this guy will play. He is a rugby player but has become a football player recently.

The Patriots drafted a former rugby player, he almost exclusively plays special teams.

Maybe crazy is endemic to Seattle.
At 11:40pm, there were 11 people in line for tomorrow nights Pearl Jam concert.
Temps have been in upper 20’s- low 30’s.

I was wondering too how someone like Adongo, who has never played American football before, could end up playing on an NFL team. He apparently will be a kamikaze for kickoffs when teams run full speed at each other…he just needs to crash into players on other team at full speed. Adongo is big, strong, agile, quick and I guess a little crazy. His rugby experience will help him I hope.

Well, it looks like Houston now has the inside track to the number 1 pick. Their last three games are against Indy, Denver, and Tennessee. Hard to see them winning any of those.

On the bright side, Schaub didn’t throw a pick-6.

10 accepted penalties on Houston in the 1st half. That’s called disarray.

What Happened to Houston and Atlanta? I believe there is something we are not been told. These teams can’t be this bad…

Famous Minnesota coach quote: “You are what your record say you are”

Stanford is the most physical team this year, both NFL and College. If I were the coach I will just power run on every down and dare the opposing team to stop me.

I think that quote is by Bill Parcells, I don’t think he ever coached in Minnesota.

Atlanta’s down-hill spiral started when Julio Jones went out, Roddy White missed a lot of time, Steven Jackson got hurt, and they’ve had a ton of other injuries. Not many teams can recover from losing that much firepower on offense, and they’ve had injury problems on defense as well.

Houston is a different story, and a bit of a puzzlement. They seem to have the talent, but can’t get it together on the field, and now they are sloppy and undisciplined. Seems like a coaching problem.

If I am not mistaking, I think it was Dennis Green who said that…

Dennis Green is famous for ranting “They are who we thought they were!”

I think you are correct…

It’s one of the classic rants:

I miss Dennis Green. What a great rant.

I am glad Matt Schaub had a good game. I hate it when players get booed off the field like he was several game ago.

Houston just fired Kubiak.

[Houston Fires Kubiak](<a href=“NFL News, Expert Analysis, Rumors, Live Updates, & more - Yahoo Sports”>NFL News, Expert Analysis, Rumors, Live Updates, & more - Yahoo Sports)

Wade Phillips is promoted to interim head coach.

Not sure that’s an improvement.

ETA: I don’t think Schaub had that great a game, he horked up a bad interception to seal it for Jacksonville.

I hate it when the fire coaches in the middle of a season. Is doing so really doing to make a difference? When Jason Garrett took over for Wade Philips in Dallas did the team change dramatically?

If Houston gets the first pick, they can draft Manziel. That would change their QB status pretty quick.

Yeah, it’s pretty dumb. It seldom results in meaningful improvements:

And why risk messing up your #1 pick? Although I think Bridgewater is a better choice than Manziel.

No one is drafting Manziel with the first pick

I know this thread is more centered towards the NFL but any predictions on the OSU/MSU game tomorrow?

Or any bowl predictions?

I still, for the life of me, do not understand the BCS. Not even a little.

It’s football. We’ve talked college.

Honestly, I hope both teams lose.
