<p>Geno Smith wasn’t a rushing QB, Michael Vick led his Atlanta team to an NFC championship appearance (2004/5) and almost won an MVP in 2010, and RG3 was playing at an elite level prior to his ACL tear (which takes a year to recover from, he won’t be normal until next year), and Rodgers does have a reputation as being a bit of a scrambler.</p>

<p>None of these will go to hall of fame. No one will remember them in 20 yrs. When QB becomes a running back then they do get Hurt more then QB who let the ball go in lees then 3 sec. NFL defensive players will target these QB and they will get hurt like RG3 ACL Vicks has a history of injuries every yr he plays. These QBs dont last longer and teams suffers who draft them. </p>

<p>RG3, tebow and Vicks are no Steve Young. Todays class of QBs are not Steve young either with few exceptions like johny who atleast can throw the ball or bama QB. </p>

<p>Are you sure about that with respect to Vick? The times I have seen him injured it was usually when he was running and two defenders hit him from both sides to crunch him.</p>

<p>ESPN is saying Houston owner will be interviewing Lovie Smith as Head Coach for next yr. Big mistake since he is all about Defense and not much for Offense. Dont know who they will pick then as #1 pick since offense dosent play big in lovie scheme.</p>

<p>Should Tarkenton even be in the HoF? he was an above average qb (career rate+ of 113), but his record, td/int differential, lots of other stats, aren’t that great.</p>

<p>He was not really a running qb either, he only averaged 2.7 runs and 14 yards/game over his career, compare that to over 7 attempts and 46 yds/game for Vick, 4+ carries and 30 yds/game for Cunningham, 7.6 attempts and 43 yds/game for Cam Newton.</p>

<p>Young is a legit HoF’er, and his career was ended by concussions. If he’d stayed in the pocket more, maybe his career would have lasted longer.</p>

<p>If you want your qb to run, I think the biggest factor is size. Newton, at 250 pounds, is equipped to take the hits. Vick gets killed. The minute these small running qbs lose a step, they get crushed.</p>

<p>What an ending to the Patriots/Browns game. This season Patriots don’t wake up until the 4th quarter. Although I am a Patriot’s fan, I think Cleveland played so much better and sorry they lost. Between injuries and counting on rookies, the Patriots haven’t looked very good all season. When they get these clutch wins, I am happy for them, but wish they could play better all 4 quarters, not just the last few minutes of the game!</p>

<p>You do realize that Tarkenton is 3rd in career rushing yards by a QB? And questioning his HOF credentials is ridiculous, he was arguably the most prolific QB of his Era (even over Unitas). In fact, the much beloved Unitas has worse stats in almost every category.</p>

<p>Fran Tarkenton’s parents showed up at my grandfather’s funeral. Very nice people. What shocked me was how short they both were. I think the dad wasn’t much taller than me, maybe he was 5’6" or something. And I could have put his mother in my pocket. I would never have thought they would have such a great athlete related to them.</p>
