Wow. That’s amazing and what a great moment for him.

Razorsharp, my grandfather died in the 1970’s, and I have to admit that I do not know how they knew each other. It was probably through Emory U. I was old enough to know who their son was and old enough to speak to them for a whole, but too young (and too female) to care about football as much as I would now.

If you say so, he is a little before my time and with TV coverage the way it was back then I didn’t see him play much.

But he is only 15 games over .500 in an 18 year career, 6-5 in the playoffs. #4 all-time rushing (behind Cunningham, Young, and Vick) sounds good until you realize he only averaged 15 yards a game rushing. #6 all-time for td passes, but #5 for ints.

Patsies steal a win on a ticky-tack pass interference. Makes up for the crap call that gave the Jets the win a while back. They are saying Gronk has a torn ACL… gd* it.

Pats are going nowhere in the playoffs. They are already needing miracles to beat crap teams, and without Gronk…

I’ve never seen anything like the last few minutes of the Ravens/Vikings game.

My husband was at today’s Philly/Detroit snowbowl. What a game! No surprise that he is now sleeping away on the couch!

Is that the same game where the guy had a helmet full of snow from catching a 33-yd pass?

That Philly game was so much fun to watch - from the warmth of my living room!

[Florida State, Auburn to play for BCS National Championship](Florida State, Auburn to play for BCS National Championship)

It looks official, Florida State will humiliate the Auburn Tigers on January 6th. The score will be 60 to 18. I didn’t read all of the article above, but I am sure that is what the rest of it said. :)

I am so ready.

Saints Brees riping through Panthers Defence.
Newton the other rushing QB just good for field goals. Lets see second half of course home field plays a big part in these matches. Saints will be in Charlotte next week.

Yes looks like Auburn luck will run out playing FSU. They are too Good and Big for Auburn.

Yes.

Yes.

Yes.

I almost always root for the team playing the SEC team, but I do love a good upset. I’m hoping Auburn can pull off one more miracle.

I love those Youtube “fan reaction videos” of the Iron bowl. Hilarious.

Tarkenton was better suited to today’s game. I watched him play. His game was closer to that of Drew Brees or Russell Wilson. When he played, a 50% completion rate was solid, even good.

I thought the pass interference play at the end of the Browns/Patriots play was iffy but a real call; the defender was obstructing and obviously pulling at the receiver as he neared the goal line. That obstruction meant the receiver was exactly that far short of the ball, which went through his outstretched hands but would otherwise have been right in his arms. I’ve seen many worse calls.

Welker got another concussion. I sure hope someone makes him sit out at least until the playoff start. Maybe the Pats were right to trade him. One more hit on the head and the consequences could be extreme

Gronk was out for six games but came back and became the best tight end in the NFL. Now he is gone. It’s not looking so good for the Pats.

If any of you are watching the Cowboys/Bears game tonight, the guy that’s all bundled up, that’s my H! (Oh, yea, it’s only 8° here; EVERYONE’S bundled up).

There was a stat that flashed up during the Pat game to the effect that without Gronk, the Pats had something like the 16th best offense, and after he came back they had the #1 offense.

I fear they will be one-and-done this year, they can’t get away with the crap they’ve been getting away with against good teams, and without Gronk…

These cold weather games just make me think again of how stupid it was to agree to have the Superbowl at the Meadowlands!

But they have been so much fun to watch. I get bored with football if there is not much scoring so I’ll take 5 touchdowns and 5 changes in the lead in the last 2 minutes any day.

That’s hilarious. I saw that guy, and I wondered if he could even see the game.
