We had typical Seattle weather today, zeebamom.

Go Hawks!

The weather was worse in Seattle actually before the game.
We were taking a walk to the grocery store with the dog, when we started out it was only raining & windy.
But we had hail & lightning before we got home.
It was warm though, 48F.

My power flickered for most of the game, but it hung on long enough for me to go through the roller coaster at the end.

Go Seahawks!

Love him or hate him, Bill Belichick is just smarter than everyone else.

That Marshawn Lynch is brutal. I don’t see how anyone can give and take such a beating every week and be able to make it through a season.

The Colts scare me. I hope the Pats win but what a challenge they face.

Hearing the thunder occasionally was a little freaky. We hear that so rarely around here, we aren’t even sure what it is. That was some nasty wind and rain, but at least not as bad as last night! I thought there were going to be trees coming down on the house, and our roof blowing away. Terrible. But I don’t know how those guys can play in that stuff…probably an advantage for Seattle that they’re used to it.

The 49ers v. Panthers should be a great game. Their quarterbacks are similar and very talented. Should be fun to watch.

Ummm, aren’t their entire teams quite similar to each other (and to the Seahawks)?

Never having played, it’s hard for me to tell when an incomplete pass is the the receiver’s issue or the quarterback’s. Luck seemed to be very inaccurate on throws under 30 yds, give or take, but really accurate on the long throws. Is that right or wrong? I haven’t watched him much, but have to admit I was expecting more. Can someone educate me here?

GO Panthers! Weather in Charlotte is perfect for football today…sunshine ,blue skies, temps in the 50’s.

oh yes, but often playoff games depend on key mistakes by key players like the QB. In the Pat’s game is looked like Brady was letting his team do the work for him. He did not have a big night throwing but didn’t make a whole lot of mistakes. Luck has a few key mistakes that changed outcome of the game.

I can remember watching Cam Newton in college and thinking he will be the best QB to have ever played in the NFL. It has not happened so far but its getting into play off games that might give him that opportunity. I hope the 49ers win because I think the Seahawks can beat them. I am not really sure about beating the Panthers.

side note to razorsharp: Smiled when I saw your name as it is same as Sylvester Stallone’s character in the movie “Grudge Match” with Robert DeNiro…

On long throws, the ball is in the air long enough that on certain routes the receiver can adjust his stride so that the ball comes right to him, especially if there isn’t a defender right on him. So the qb just has to get it close.

On short routes there’s not as much time, so the ball has to be more accurate.

Luck got sacked three times and was knocked down and hurried a lot. This makes the qb try to get rid of the ball more quickly, which leads to inaccuracies and mistakes. On three of his interceptions it didn’t look like Luck ever saw the defender who undercut the route and picked it off. Pretty poor qb play, caused by the defense.

When the 49ers stopped Carolina at the goal, it could have been a tempo and game changer. Unfortunately, the 49 offense didn’t advance it and gave it back for a touchdown. What a missed opportunity for the 49ers.

gosmom, I didn’t know that. I haven’t seen the movie. If my life was a movie, I am sure it would be a horror film by that really bad horror film maker in the 80s.

So why does the 49er get no flag for the head butt, but the Panther got a personal foul?

Good question.

It looks like Anquan Bolin’s head will explode pretty soon.

How come Cam Newton does not wear a mouth piece? He runs enough and is hit enough that he should be without teeth by now without a mouth piece.

Go Chargers!! We’re getting ready down here in San Diego. For those back east, here is how my H and friends are watching the game… They have two volleyball nets set up down at Mission Bay and they have constructed a large TV viewing tent with generator and satellite dish. They’re playing some volleyball on the beach until the game comes on.

Looks like Seahawks against Niners.

Hard to find much love for a team with bona Fide classless thugs led by Cheating Pete, but you have to admit they can play football. I hope Harbaugh finds a way to irritate Pete to death and quiet those lunatics in attendance.

Got to love that Kaepernick commercial.

Here come the Niners again!

The referees made the bad calls to both the Niners and the Panthers.
