Are You Ready For Some Football!!!!

I like Hauschka too.Although that play was the first Id seen.
I admit to being a fair weather fan, although I was living close to their original base when the franchise began.
H had been a big football fan forever though so I thought it was time to pay more attention.
I did pay enough attention to know that for those who remember Behring, it is especially satisfying.

I didn’t know that about the Seattle kicker. He was smart. The Bronco’s kicker is also extremely good with the league record and being very consistent. He was sick last week but probably will be fine for the game. I saw a headline that a computer picked Seattle to win 24-22. If the Hawks can limited Manning to 22, I can’t see how they wont’ win.

Blue and green fingernails . . . check

Not to derail anything… but anyone following the Brendan Gibbons debacle at Michigan?

Someone convince me of who I should root for this weekend. I’m thinking Seattle because that’s where I want to move (and they have some freaking awesome colors), but I’m easily swayed.

I dont know anything about Denver, but one thing that impresses me about this team is that the players were not 1st round draft picks.
More like 3rd, 4th & 5th round.
[nobody else wanted Richard Sherman for example. I bet they do now!](<a href=“Seattle Post-Intelligencer”>Seattle Post-Intelligencer)

Apparently he has had a significant rise in jersey sales. I guess they want him now.

Thanks to a generous Amazon gift card from a client, my #3 Wilson official Super Bowl jersey arrived at the door yesterday  Go Hawks!

It must be hard to be a fair weather fan of a team in the Northwest. ;)

“It must be hard to be a fair weather fan of a team in the Northwest”

Not hard this year. While everyone else has been freezing, it’s been very nice here. Moderate, relatively warm, and sometimes even sunny. Best winter in years, I’ve already forgotten about the other years.

Boeing in Seattle is also shutting down Sunday, except for essential personnel, so as not to miss the pre - game shows.
Its Hs scheduled weekend, it will be nice to sleep in.

Speaking of mild weather, I haven’t worn gloves or a hat ( & sometimes not even socks!) for weeks!
The rain yesterday was appreciated though.

We live in NC and will be pulling for the Seahawks. S1 was a student at NC State (class of '09) during the Russell Wilson years. S1 and friends never missed a game. No one at NCSU would ever have guessed Russell Wilson would be the starting QB in the Super Bowl in just a few short years?
DH is also a NCSU alum and avid fan. Go Seahawks.

Lots of U. Wisconsin family alums rooting for Russell Wilson and the Seahawks too

I was very surprised that the NFL scouts couldn’t see how good Russell Wilson was going to be. I’m not a football expert, but it was obvious to me watching him in college.

The main knock, he was too short to be successful. About the only knock really.

If PFM has decided to play next year, he has a huge incentive to win Sunday: If the Broncos lose (and he plays next year), he’ll wind up owing the state of New Jersey $844 for the privilege of having played in the Super Bowl.

<a href=“New Jersey Taxes Could Eat Up All Of Peyton Manning's Super Bowl Earnings”>http://www.forbes.com/sites/kurtbadenhausen/2014/01/27/new-jersey-taxes-could-eat-up-all-of-peyton-mannings-super-bowl-earnings/</a></p>

Quote
If Manning is able to play next season, his New Jersey income tax would be $46,989 on $92,000 for winning the Super Bowl, or 51.08%. If they lose and he is able to play in 2014, he will pay New Jersey $46,844 on his $46,000, which amounts to a 101.83% tax on his actual Super Bowl earnings in the state—and this does not even consider federal taxes!

This column is cute.

This one is funnier.
It makes fun of RHCP.
They are right Anthony Kiedis is tone deaf.

They should have picked a more current act.
Like PearlJam.

A surprise for Seattle mom. I kept waiting for the dogs to run off with the surprise.

For serious Seahawks fans, there’s a great video someone just made, if you google, “Can’t Stop Beast Mode” on vimeo. I can’t figure out how to link it correctly.
