Are you ready for some football?

A win? The Cowboys didn’t win did they?

Maybe Jerry Jones (aka Mr. Classy) will go after him

Anyone hear about the new baseball commissioner who started two weeks ago? Me either.

81 days to the draft!

“A win? The Cowboys didn’t win did they?”

I’m assuming the hate for Seattle stems from being a big Patriots fan. Or is it just hate?

For xiggi just hate - he is a Texan

Others come by their disdain honestly. But really, it was a pick 'em and the Patriots won. Lots of drama, lots to think about for next year and moving on. Two weeks until pitchers and catchers report.

^ xiggi is a Cowboys fan. I think he bears ill will toward Pete Carroll for some reason, and thus roots against the Seahawks.

We may snark at each other, but at least this doesn’t happen:

[Officials: 25 people killed in Egyptian soccer match riot](Officials: 25 people killed in Egyptian soccer match riot)

^^^ That, and there’s your sweater. The weather is cooperating with you on getting good use out of it as well. :stuck_out_tongue:

I guess I need to start a baseball thread.

Ah okay, I never care enough to hate people or groups of people. Can’t think of many things I actually hate, except, perhaps, ISIS.

Yeah, I guess we always have the Mariners, but they seem pretty hard to count on. Maybe if I could just find teams to hate, I could cheer on the opposing teams. Hard to get that loathing up for anyone who works so hard to make it to professional sports, though.

Can we all agree to hate A-Rod?

I want to work out a trade and swap our Dustin for @notrichenough’s Dustin. That would make my baseball season perfect!

I’m really looking forward to the A-Rod soap opera.

I have grave doubts about the Red Sox pitching: I followed Porcello’s career in Detroit and never thought of him as a #1 or #2 starter on a regular basis. I think they’re expecting Uehara to bounce back as closer but he’ll be 40 when the season starts.

To keep to football, I went through the lists of free agents and was struck by the former names looking for employment. And some on the cusp of the end, as in Wes Welker: maybe Denver will resign him but all those concussions …

Sports-hate is different.

I can get on the A-Rod Hate Train.

Uh-oh: the 12th man agreement with TAMU expires in 2016. It has become huge money for the Seahawks, and I’m guessing they’re not going to be able to re-up for a mere $5K:

Haha, more of the holier than thou from the Seattle fans! Some of them who like to make ad hominem attacks about sticking to what we know about the SAT. N’est de pas, SaintHawksfan? And there is more right above here. I criticize a public team. Do you understand the difference? Check the TOS.

In the meantime, Suh does indeed belong to a club led by Pete the Cheat and one that loved thugs like Golden Tate. He’d fit right in, and you would LOVE to have another nasty bruiser.

Don’t like the comments and the expressions of pure joy for having seen your team losing the SB? Yep, just as you’d be gloating about another team losing! No apologies for rubbing it in at every chance.

You brought it upon yourselves!

Uh… no.

Which ones in particular? There are big names in free agency every year. Usually they get re-signed by their original teams. For example, there’s no way Dez Bryant will go anywhere else.

Nope, don’t think we’d be gloating over another team losing the Super Bowl. Think we’d just be happy about winning, without rubbing it in against the losing team. Kind of like last year, people weren’t saying nasty things and gloating about Denver, we actually felt pretty bad for them. Though thrilled about winning, I don’t think people wanted to crush Denver, just excited to win.

I don’t think Seattle people are holier than thou, just a lot nicer than thou.

And yes, today was a beautiful day. The sun was out, people were smiling again, life is good!

Yep - the malaise has lifted, the sun was out, the neighbors were out and the dog got 2 biscuits out on her walk!

That’s really hitting below the belt.

Snow 12 of the last 16 days, and it will snow tomorrow, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Sorry about that, notrichenough, but it has been unusually warm and dry this winter. Except for the day after the Seahawks lost, the Gods were crying, and the sky opened up…ha!

I am going to NYC soon, and the day I’ll be there, the low is two degrees. I mean, two degrees! How do people live like that? I want to cancel my trip and go to Hawaii instead, but the kids are expecting us. Where’s the global warming on the east coast, huh? You need some.

And saintfan, I spent some time climbing up and down the Howe street stairs this morning. What a beautiful day, everyone was out!
