<p>I was reading my newspaper just now and apparently another Raven, Terrell Suggs, very violently abused his then girlfriend in 2012 to the point that she filed a protective order against him. They eventually married. </p>
<p>I think it is important that the individual teams set a standard in hiring and make sound personnel decisions regardless of a woman’s interest in pressing charges. They can choose to not hire these guys and make it a “point of emphasis” in the locker room. HR and the GM can just tell them that they will be waived and it will be THEIR fault not the woman’s.</p>

<p>I heard a great interview yesterday with the Seahawks’ rookie right tackle, Justin Britt. He held is own very nicely against Clay Matthews last week and was asked if any of the veterans on the other team talked smack to him or tried to get under his skin as a rookie. He said he doesn’t hear much because he’s so zoned in on what he’s doing but yea, Clay Matthews had had a few things to say. When asked if he got worked up at all he was that no, it just made him smile to be out there on the field and have Clay Matthews chirping at him was like a kid’s dream come true. I don’t think that was the reaction Matthews was looking for.</p>

<p>Now I really wish I wasn’t going to miss this game! The Chargers have declared Sunday a “white out” game. The team will be in all white and the fans are supposed to wear all white. One problem . . . the 12s travel really well and will stand out all the more if the Charger fans are in white. </p>

<p>The “stolen Super Bowl” is the first time the Seahawks won and the whole world wanted the Steelers to win - even the commentators. It was all about Hines Ward and blahblahblah. There were some very suspect calls that changed the course of the game. Seahawks fans were pretty on edge after that when again the world wanted Peyton to win. </p>
<p>Anyway - I tried to watch the game and couldn’t. I hate the Steelers and would have rooted for the Ravens. </p>

<p>He will be suspended for 2 games until TMZ releases the tape.</p>

<p>(Yes, yes, I know- we promote the culture by encouraging aggression on the field but not off. Honestly, I don’t know how much I buy that but I’m sure it has a lot to do with other things. I think that the fact that the vast majority of athletes don’t regularly beat people up shows that it isn’t just a matter of us “encouraging” it.) </p>
