OMG…just watched the Hail Mary. Wow!
Happy Packers Fan this morning. Mostly I adore Aaron Rodgers - Happy Birthday present to him! (his bday was Tuesday!). D1 was at a Packers bar in Columbus watching the game last night - she told me this morning she thinks she ended up hugging every person in the bar after that win!
We’ll take the win, but my team still has much to worry about. Down at halftime 20-0 to the Lions is not a good sign. Like my S says (he’s the ultimate Packer fan in the family), sometimes you have to hit rock bottom to realize something has to be done - losing to the Bears and Lions is ALMOST that!!!
As my DD put it… “typical Lions.”
And because of a ticky-tack borderline facemask call.
The new Browns formed in 1999… other than a few decent years in the mid-80s, the Browns have been pretty bad since the early 70’s. Not quite Lions-bad, but close.
Ever since I had to read Paper Lion for 9th grade summer reading (in 1969) I’ve had a soft spot for the Lions. Kinda the Cubs/lovable losers vibe. Felt bad for the Lions fans last night. OTOH, Lions vs. my Patriots, Lions, you’re on your own!
When you’re a Lions fan you’re always SOL.

Really, it’s just painful to be a Lions fans. I’m convinced we’re all a little masochistic at this point. No other real explanation.
Oh well, go Spartans! We’re spending the weekend with Mr. R’s best friend’s family who are Iowa fans so we’re a split household. They’re not really football fans so it’s all in good fun 
My Spartan soul is hurting right now.
I whimpered a little for the Trojans, but at least they were on the scoreboard.
Sigh. What a lousy week. I had surgery and gave birth to a bouncing baby tumor. Now I come home from the hospital to the Trojans’ loss today and maybe a Jets loss tomorrow. Oh well. At least I have things in perspective.

There’s been more action in the last two minutes of the game than in the first 58. Glad I stayed up.
What happened? It was 9-6 with a missed field goal when I turned it off.
Desean Jackson show boated on a punt return and fumbled after reversing the field. Cowboys score a little too quickly, giving Washington time to score after a big penalty. Dan Bailey, beast that he is, kicks a 54-yarder to win.
They look like ketchup and mustard bottles running around on the field.
I think I’ve had enough of the color rush costumes.
In case anyone is wondering how a loss by last place Miami managed to clinch the division for the Patriots, here’s the explanation:
So this is the 5th straight year I have made it to the championship game in my fantasy league.
I have lost 4 times in a row.
I am the Buffalo Bills of fantasy football.
5th time’s a charm, right? Right?!
My partner and I lost in our ff league, after winning it 3 years in a row, we got into the first round of the playoffs, and while our team had a decent score, our opponent blew us out. What killed our team was when Rawls went down for Seattle the other week, it was pretty much the margin of loss.
I missed the winner’s bracket this year. Likely won’t win the loser’s bracket either. Booo.
