Are you ready for some football?

While I’m on topic, one of our local broadcaster/commentators and former Seahawks LB, Dave Wyman said that the fuss about Marshawn not traveling was one of the dumbest things he’s ever heard. He said that TE Luke Wilson didn’t travel either and nobody made a fuss about it. If their recovery is better served by staying back they stay back. He went to the mat on that point with one of his fellow broadcasters.

The fact that he didn’t travel, who cares.

The fact that Carroll said he was fully practicing and would play, and then Lynch apparently pulled himself out, that’s what raised eyebrows.

Carroll said after last Friday practice that he was still listed as “questionable” and that they’d have to wait to see how he responded. He took all his “scheduled” snaps at practice not all the first team snaps as some have spun it. At the end of the day he still felt tentative and told them he couldn’t go. As a guy who leaves absolutely everything on the field every time he does go, I have no problem letting him make that call.

“University of Phoenix Stadium” is a really great marketing scheme.

Sad about Patriots win. It seems like as long as Brady, Edelman and Gronk are out there it doesn’t matter who else they have. It’s kind of incredible really. Grrrrr

How does a team show zero sense of urgency when they are down 2 tds with 7 minutes left? What the heck were they saving those timeouts for?

How do you let 30 seconds bleed off the clock before the two minute warning without either running a play or takinga timeout?

Does KC not have a hurry up offense?

Andy Reid at his finest. He is known for his inability to manage the clock at the end of games, but holy moly.

U of Phoenix stadium looks like a decent one.

10th AFC championship appearance in 15 years of the Belichick era. That’s an incredible run.

They are still banged up and picked up more injuries today. I can’t say I like their chances either next week or in the SB if they make it.

The Cardinals’ stadium is pretty cool. The entire grass surface is on wheels and it can be moved outside in between games so they can grow real grass for the field.

Where is everyone?

Watching . . . normally I would root GB but who wants to play at Lambeau in January? Neither team really looks like they want to win at this point.

WOW!

Good interception.

Horrible pass. That could kill the cardinals’ chances.

Carson Palmer doing his Mark Sanchez Impression. Not surprising, at USC they teach quarterbacks to throw interceptions, it is why the first rule of the draft is never, ever take a QB from USC, they haven’t produced a top notch quarterback yet:).

As far as the NE game, it was a typical Andy Reid game, blow it when it counts. NE is banged up, their O line is a mess, their defense is banged up, but KC couldn’t get out of its own way. Their offensive play calling was the typical Andy Reid, unimaginative, stolid offense, predictable as hell, and their vaunted defense played scared, another Reid special. I don’t like Reid, and especially because all the NFL blatter heads have annointed him a 'Genius Coach", despite the fact that he has screwed the pooch in every big game he has ever been in. Bellichick is an evil genius, but a true one, Reid in the end chokes when it all is on the line, he is very much another coach like Marvin Lewis, that all the ‘experts’ crow about but who when push comes to shove, stink.

It does not look like a first down.

Crazy luck! If we can get past Carolina I like our chances defending Palmer.

You are cracking me up @musicprnt! There are a few regular football posters who I imagine using terms like “screwed the pooch” but you are not one of them. I guess it is Saturday night. :stuck_out_tongue:

Unbelievable! But was it a catch?

Totally amazing!
