They WILL part ways but I hadn’t heard as late as John Clayton live on 710 at 4:40pm that he was officially cut. Lynch was never coming back next year even before the surgery. He will be 30 and his is a cap hit >11 million dollars next year.
It’s also very unlikely that Russell Okung will be back based on cap his and injury history. Pete Carroll is a big boy and doesn’t get his nose (any more) bent out of shape by perceived slights. What he does mind is guys who cause discord in the locker room. By all accounts Marshawn has not been that guy.
nothing in this thread this week? we’re Pats fans and the win in Denver looks to be tough. I don’t care for what ppl say about Manning, cuz on any given Sunday, he may not be as good as he once was, but he can be good once as he ever was, right?
I am ready for this huge Broncos-Patriots football.
If the Broncos win they really deserve to go to the Superbowl.
But what is the chance that a great team like the Patriots have two consecutive losses to the same opponent?
^^ Pretty good, as it turns out. The only surprise is that the score was as close as it was. Patriots were completely outclassed.
Bye bye, Brady!!!
They seem so deflated. :((
Denver did a good job. I like Brady’s touchdown though.
@Wolverine86 - haha, very funny.
The NY Times published an article this week that the overwhelming scientific consensus is that there was no deflation, and that Deflategate is basically a shameful attempt by the league to screw the Patriots. The friggin’ Times. But keep hating.
Injuries, particularly at running back and offensive line, finally caught up to the Patriots, and they couldn’t keep Denver out of the Patriots’ backfield.
It sucks that a miss by Gostkowski, who holds the record for most consecutive extra points made, forced them into a two point try to tire the game.
But I wouldn’t say they were “completely” outclassed. They had multiple opportunities in the fourth to score, and had three decent drives in the fourth.
Denver had a great defense though, and they did just enough.
The choice to go for it twice on 4th down in the fourth quarter instead of kicking field goals looks pretty bad right now, and there’s going to be a lot of second guessing around here.
That was a VERY exciting game! I wanted the Broncos to win, but I just had to shake my head when Brady made that long pass on 4th down very late in the game. I said “Damn it! He ALWAYS DOES THIS!”
Kudos to Brady and Gronc and the team for never giving up. Impressive.
But I’m happy for Peyton.
Yea, Broncos!!!
"^^ Pretty good, as it turns out. The only surprise is that the score was as close as it was. Patriots were completely outclassed.

Okay, that might be my favorite post of the day. Followed by this one:
"They seem so deflated. "
So I’m a poor sport, what can I say, but GO BRONCOS!
I don’t care a whit about any of the teams who played today… but my gosh the Arizona/Carolina game was painful to watch.
^^Not if you were rooting for Carolina. I was in a happy bar, tonight!
Woo hoo Panthers!!!
I turned off the TV and took a nap near the end of the 1st quarter so that can watch Downton Abby tonight. When I woke up I saw 42-15. I did not like any of the 2 teams. But this score will make me root for the Panthers in the SB.
I am really excited about this Super Bowl, because I really like both teams and don’t care who wins. A Peyton win would be a great way to go out, but it’s really been Cam’s year. Can’t lose.
^^^I agree. D1 grew up in Dallas, got her undergrad in NC, got her MS near Denver so was a fan for awhile, and now is getting her PhD in NC. She is both a Broncos and Panthers fan. I texted her and asked who she would root for, but no answer yet. I’m guessing Carolina.
I would be so happy for Peyton to go out with a SB win, but wouldn’t be heartbroken if Carolina won. This will be fun to watch!
So Cam Newton actually said he didn’t know who they would be playing. Really?!?! When told the Broncos, he said, “Okay, we’re playing against the Sheriff.” I’ve never heard Peyton referred to by that name. Is that a “thing”?
The Cowboys always will be my team, but they’ve underperformed for so long that I have begun to dally with others. I’ve always liked the Vikings and the Broncos. Fantasy football has made me learn about other teams and players so on most teams I can find something to like. But never the Steelers or the Dolphins or the Patriots.
@busdriver11 ok ok fair enough
Loved Cam Newtons quote, "“It was going to be a process like long cooked collard greens,”
