The NCAA had better take some strong actions against him. There was absolutely no punishment dealt to him in the game because, with the turnover and obviously LSU was not going to get the ball back with less than a minute in the game, so he really missed no playing time. I’d like to see him suspended for all of LSU’s next game… but I doubt it’ll happen.
He knew what he was doing, that, with basically no time left in the game, an ejection would mean absolutely nothing to him.
Both the hit and the stomp appear to be very poor sportsmanship at best and at worst really despicable acts. Has there been no discussion about Colin Kaepernick on CC? If not I am surprised as he seems to have the public quite divided.
Les Miles said that he would have to view the film, but that he just didn’t believe the Boutte hit was made out of malice. He supposes that Boutte didn’t realize play had been whistled dead.
Even if that were true, wasn’t that hit still illegal, as a head to head?
I wonder if any true freshman quarterbacks have ever scored on their very first offensive drive at Texas Memorial Stadium as was just done! (no pressure whatsoever) Big confidence builder.
I have had the best football weekend ever. Go, Horns!!! I just wish that Charlie Strong naysayer xiggi was still around so I could taunt him. Hook 'em!!! \m/
It’s a happy day in my house! My parents were at the game. Dad just retired as chair of the Men’s Athletic Council at UT, but he will still be involved with the program. I’m so happy for him. He really likes Charlie Strong a lot.
