They’ve been working on their quick little timing routes . . . you know, the ones that I’ve been jumping up and down screaming about for the last 4 years. The ones that they never ran. They have pulled out a slant that is reminiscent of Brady and Edelman.
And so it begins . . . the first witness use of the season of my most hated made-up football term “trickeration” while watching my U of W Huskies.
Sigh. My Spartans always make me so nervous at the beginning of the season.
We have a lot of Western Mich alumni friends so we were rooting for them today. First win against a Big 10 team in 8 years.
The Houston / Oklahoma game was terrific. Houston dominated on offense and defense. Their ability to force turnovers was amazing.
The Huskies are showing some good stuff today. A bit flat on the second half, but is rather they play it safe this early on and avoid injuries.
Unfortunately, I missed “trickernation”
Ha. And as soon as I post there’s an interception and then a TD right in front of us.
Watching Wisconsin- LSU. Go badgers!

Well, looks like the Badgers got it in the bag now.
We took off after the “did the ball hit the LSU player in the thigh” play.
Second major upset! Wisconsin did a great job hanging in there after the tide turned (momentarily). Their running game was tank-like! And JJ Watts’ brother was smoking the field. What a game.

Arkansas won by the skin of their teeth against LA Tech, and GA is now behind NC. I’m a little worried about the Alabama game.

That Brandon Wilson botched-field-goal return for a touch down was sweet - reminded me of the Iron Bowl Auburn win three years ago.
Yeah, that’s what I thought too. Both heads up play. Watching Oklahoma trying to catch him looked like a field of Clydesdales trying to catch a thoroughbred.
What will be the likely punishment for LSU player Josh Boutte, who made a vicious hit on a defenseless player (defenseless in the sense that he had no reason to prepare for a hit as play was over)?
