Are you ready for some football?

Whew! Quite the game. We went and watched on a movie theater size screen.

I thought the referees were junk! That one offsides call was ridiculous!

That was a bad call but the catch/fumble was also a bad call . . . the one that they overturned

It was definitely too close for comfort. I’m ready for a bye week @-)

I think the catch/fumble was a close call that I could see going either way, but the offsides was patently stupid - the guy is past the football before the snap, the flag is thrown, and no penalty?

Redskins special teams blows the game… sigh.

Captain Kirk Cousins is proving himself serviceable though.

The non-offsides WAS stupid, but because I’m biased I’ll say that he caught it with two hands, got both feet down then transferred the ball to one hand and turned to head upfield . . . then he fumbled

I know every team’s fans have a chip on their shoulders and feel like the rest of the world an announcers are rooting against them. I read that Denver fans have a petition to not let Phil Simms do their games because he is so biased. It really did seem weird to me though when the half time guys on Sunday night football were calling the Denver loss to Seattle “moral victory.” Everyone thought Denver would win the Super Bowl and they got blown out. They completely revamped their defense (it IS much better) and lost in overtime yesterday but still lost. How is that really a victory for Denver?

But them steelers though =D>

So was the hit on Foles a dirty one or no? The guy who did it is arguing pretty strongly that he did nothing wrong. Regardless of whether or not Foles was still in play, you are not allow to block a guy from behind, right?

I thought it was dirty. Foles was way out of the play at the time of the hit.

The hit on Foles was dirty and the Wash. player should be fined and fined again. It reminded me of the dirty hit Warren Sapp put on a Green Bay player many years ago. I still can’t stand Warren Sapp.

But fortunately there is a pretty good guy in the NFL right now. David Nelson of the Jets is amazing. He should be every kids hero.

Even a former player is bad press for the NFL this week. The stories around the death of Rob Bironas are just bizarre.

Yeah I was coming here about Bironas too. Sounds like maybe he was having a mental breakdown?

Weird - there seems to be a missing link about his wife calling police when he’s only been gone an hour. She says he only had one beer and was acting normally but in that case why would you call police that early for an adult? It seems like she must have had some other reason to worry.

Wow, that’s sad. There obviously is more there. If my dh left our home, I wouldn’t call in a missing persons report, kwim?

Two different 911 calls came in reporting his erratic and road rage driving…one in which he followed college kids, side swiped them and yelled 2x that he was going to kill them.

Really weird things are happening this year. I don’t know how I never heard of what happened to Rob Bironas til today. It’s just weird because it’s a player that I’m familiar with and have seen play. Maybe this might be another thing with concussions? The way they develop mental abnormalities after they finish playing?

@Marissa you make me laugh so much. But it’s “Them Steelers tho”

Bironas’s actions were very strange. It is a good thing he did not kill anyone else. Kickers don’t usually get the same level of concussions as might running backs for example. Whatever the cause it is very sad.

You know that he was QB and Fox Sports Commentator Terry Bradshaw’s new son-in-law?
