Are you ready for some football?

Haha! We call it “Jay Cutler Butthurt Face”.

I also like Peyton; I think he’s hilarious too. Eli often looks witless (manning face) but I don’t dislike him really. I found the documentary “The Book of Manning” fascinating.

I picked up Kirk Cousins bc both of my other QBs are on bye this week. Yeah. I don’t look like a genius this morning.

My H picked up Larry Donnell right before last night’s game. boy does he look like a genius.

As a Giants fan, I have a soft spot for Eli. I don’t think he’s as good as his brother (who’s one of the greatest ever), but I also don’t think he won those two rings by accident. It’s nice seeing him back to form these last couple games (and coincidentally, having an O-line which is giving him a fighting chance.)

And his ads are hilarious. He seems to be a generally good guy.

(however, I am not immune to hype-oversensitivity, and if I never hear about Derek Jeter again, i’ll be really, really happy.)

See now, I love Jeter . . . He doesn’t do Buick adds though. He missed his calling. I might consider a Buick if Jeter suggested it. :-*

I know someone who played a few years for the Colts back when Peyton was at the helm, he always spoke very highly of his professionalism and his character, and this was over a decade ago when Peyton was big but not the presence he is now. He also got to know Eli and spoke very highly of him as well. After playing for 4 different teams I don’t think I ever heard of him speak of anyone with as much respect as he gave out to Peyton, Eli, and Tony Dungy. The guy I know is a straight arrow, no criminal record, good family, good guy. I respect him and trust his opinion, so I like the Mannings whether they win or lose. That simple.

PACKERS!!!

Woot woot!!! Tampa beats the Steelers with 7 seconds to go. Nice!

Settling in to root against the 49ers. They are off to a great start! Kaepernick sack at the 2 followed by a blocked punt for a touchdown. :D/

Ah, the Jets. They have one characteristic that really stands out. Sure, they played horribly. Gino was bad. Mistakes abounded. But one thing no one can deny: they’re consistent.

You have the feeling that the Jets have some potential, but are just a little bit short in some areas. I have some sense that they can do some things yet this year. Detroit was simply a better team. Stafford is a very good QB, I think, and in some ways the Jets were lucky to be within one score at the end.

It would be nice if the receivers could catch more of the passes, some of which went right through their hands. As Jerry Glanville once said, “This is the NFL, which stands for ‘not for long’ if you keep making drops like those”.

Watching the Eagles I am surprised that they are 3-0. They seem to have almost no defense and no offensive line. SF keeps shooting themselves int he foot with penalties but their receivers have been catching passes and they’ve taken advantage of some turnovers. The Eagles offense is just sputtering with a few great catches here and there

49ers are out of challenges and time outs. The Eagles need a touchdown here. Third and goal from the 1 yard line - 2 minute warning.

It is amazingly pathetic when you have 2 tries to get it into the end zone from the 2 yard line and you throw twice and miss. Unbelievable!

I had to wash the car at the two minute mark… :-<

Now for excitement. Way to go Texans!!! Good win, but once again the offense was inconsistent. Deandre Hopkins is going to be great you all, just watch. I don’t think they should have played Foster today. He was questionable all week, and today he puts up less than 10 yards on the ground. Would have been better to keep him sidelined. It’s a 16 game season folks. 3-1!!! Let’s keep it going!!!

I’m OK with the Pack at 2-2. Three games have been on the road.

We still have not played really well in all three phases in the same game… but at least we beat the p1ss out of Da Bearsss (FIBs) in the city dat starts with a C, ends wit an O, and his HICAG in da middle.

Oh wait how could I forget this??

Is there ANYTHING J.J Watt cannot do?? I love him guys. He is my role model. Not only is he an amazing player on the field, he is arguably an even better person off the field. A class act all the way around. The NFL needs more players like Watt. He’s got some wheels on him. Sprinted those 80 yards like a running back!

emenya, I hope you’re correct about Hopkins. He’s on my fantasy team.

Watt is a Wisconsin Badger. He started out at UW as a non-scholarship walk-on. Clearly he has persevered and come out shining.

On, Wisconsin Texans! Hehe

I should really root against the Packers and Saints for home field advantage purposes but I like them both. I am conflicted.

I am about to cry over here watching the Cowboys play so well. It’s been so long.
