Hopefully they use up all their competence this Sunday so that they’ll be exhausted @Youdon’tsay And as sure as the sky is blue (barring injury) Deandre Hopkins will be a star in this league.

@prezbucky There are quite a few of them isn’t there? I only know of Garret Graham off the top of my head besides Watt.

I should have listened to Aaron but I couldn’t r-e-l-a-x and so I was stressed until the end of the Packers game. I love former Badgers JJ Watt and Russell Wilson both.

Ha Ha looked good today

Bit of trivia from today’s Packers/Bears game… only second time in NFL history that an entire game was played with no punts from either side.

Eagles finally ran out of miracles and dumb luck. Refs blowing whistles too early is getting annoying if you are a Cowboys fan. That is a couple of TD robbed now.

YDS, our punter does not like Jerry’s scoreboard. Did the refs really not see the punt hitting it? Bizarro.

DH and I were guests in one of the suites at the Cowboy game. It’s the first game I have attended in the “new” stadium (though I’ve been to some college games played there). It was so loud in the stadium! I have to give props to the Saints fans-they were out there in big numbers.

The NCAA national championship game will be played there and will be something else!

Jets :(

So the 8 teams to reach 3 wins are

Cincinnati
Baltimore
Houston
San Diego
Philadelphia
Dallas
Detroit
Arizona

So which are pretenders and which are legit contenders to go deep in the playoffs?
Dallas and Detroit?
Great stat on the Eagles’ performance yesterday: 31 of their 56 plays failed to gain a single yard. They can’t run the ball, despite having a great running back. Without a running game, Kelly’s offense is the run-and-shoot.

Chuck n duck.

Philly are pretenders
Dallas always chokes at the end
Detroit looks really good now . . . but then they did this time last year as well
San Diego I think are for real
I have my doubts about Arizona but who knows. Hopefully they just fold their tents and go home the second half of the season ;)

Having watched Nick Foles play a lot of Pac-10 football I am not nearly as high on him as some people seem to be. He was known for making bad decisions and throwing it away when the chips were down. It surprises me that Kelly is trying to run his hurry op offense with a QB who can’t seem to run even 2 yards if he needs to.

How about Bridgewater, speaking of running. Now HE looked like the real deal. I just saw highlights while I was riding the exercise bike and man was he good both passing and running.

So McAdoo was the secret sauce of the O and Rogers?

Probably not, but the the Gints look like they have it figured out and looked onstoppable. Eli is mediocre until he raises his game to great heights.

San Diego and Houston are for real.

With the parity in the NFL, uou could say the same thing about almost every team. Teams might lose 6 of 8 games in one part of the schedule and make the playoffs. Some team do it in the very beginning. Some at the end.

Look at the results of the past few years. The worst teams (some by design) are the best now. What are the Colts without a Luck superstar. How did Denver navigate from Orton/Tebow to Manning and become an overnight SB shoo-in?

Parity and dumb luck in avoiding injuries make the NFL unpredictable. And the SB winner has rarely been the best team, but simply the luckiest one. With very few exceptions!

The Jets are for real, too. Unfortunately.

Dallas looked really good last night. They just have a history of not winning the biggest games when they need to.

Patriots? Really? Wow!

Depends on your definition of … history. OR your definition of biggest games!

Some teams have toiled in decades of utter mediocrity and futility to make it to the Super Bowl once or twice, and thus includes more than a few of the recent darlings. Some teams are trying to be relevant year after year. And relevant to be in the discussions in weeks 15 and 16. Others are happy to toss several seasons away to stockpile draft choices or land that precious first overall.

The tallest trees catch the most win. And it is extremely hard to stay on top for an extended period of time with salary caps.
