We were in the Bay Area and watched the Packers game in a Packers bar in Berkeley. So much fun to watch an exciting game with other ‘displaced’ fans; you all become best friends immediately. My brother and sil, not big NFL fans, were delighted with the whole shared community experience thing. So. Much. Fun!

So he was.

Some players are really dumb. Underwear? Really? I’m guessing that if he weren’t making obscene amounts of money, he’d scale it down and steal toothpicks and napkins.

Demarco is already on an heavy load. With this event, who is going to back him up? Murray could be worn down by the middle of the season.

Running backs are not an issue for the Cowboys. The Randle issue, while criminally stupid, is a non-event when compared to NFL violations.

Oh I was in no way insinuating that what Randle did should be the main focus when there are other issues going on in the league.

My 1-5 Tampa Bay Bucs are making Mondays such a drag…not much good to brag about back at work Monday mornings after Bucs getting mauled Sunday afternoons… I really thought the guys were going to start out much better this season.

Tampa Bay at 1-5 is only 2.5 games behind the NFC South division leader Carolina at 3-2-1.

^^That’s true Coach, lot of games to go yet, but I’m still not buying Super Bowl tickets yet to watch Bucs play in it.

Seahawks traded Percy Harvin to the Jets!!!

I like the Harvin trade from the Seahawks’ perspective because it says: we care about team chemistry and we’re not going to let this bleep screw that up. Second team that wanted him gone, which says a lot. Jets are desperate. Can’t believe I’m saying this but I feel sorry for Rex Ryan: his team plays hard for him and he has great defensive game plans - and some fairly good offensive ones - but his team can’t execute consistently on offense and he can’t manage his time-outs. They had only 1 time out for their final drive. If they’d had another, they could have been 10 yards closer and that maybe becomes a win.

As a side note, for all the talk in Boston about the offense, it put up 27 against a Jet team that was playing all out to save its season. The Broncos put up 24, with the final 7 an INT for a TD at the end. I believe that productivity is what counts. In the last 3, they put up 107 points, which is productive.

The Patriots played 4 games in 18 days (KC on Monday night, Cincy on a short week Sunday, Buffalo on Sunday and the Jets on a short Thursday). That’s a lot of games in a short time and it showed in effort and in basics like the defense they ran because they didn’t have any practice time to replace their middle linebacker, given they only had one walkthrough before the game. It was a mess, another example of the way Thursday games have some lousy football. Not defending the defense: they were abominable and this is the 3rd time the line was pushed around, which is bad. The problem was the linebackers but the line.

Yep - I figure it must have been bad if they were willing to cut bait. The offense was a mess last week and he had negative yards. Carroll tap danced around the question of why they were throwing to Walters on 3rd down in the 4th quarter and Harvin was on the side lines. He said something weird about the personnel that’s available when you need them.

I expect Doug Baldwin to come out with his hair on fire on Sunday

I see you’re suiting up there, Saintfan… ;)

I’m trying out Halloween costumes . . . how do I look?

saintfan, you look awesome. :D

Go Hawks!!

If CC had a “best Avatar” award, Saintfan would be the national champion.

One of our college players is suspended for 4 games for being charged with drunk driving. Ouch! We have two QBs out with season-ending injuries as well. Our team is getting leaner by the minute! Go Rainbows!

We do have Scott Harding, an amazing kicker who can kick with either foot and also is a punt returner. Very talented guy from Australia. I hope he makes it to the pros. He is one of the fan favorites to watch as no one can figure out where he will kick the ball & it makes the other team (especially the punt returner) crazy!

So watching Princeton vs. Brown right now…A very strange game, I don’t really know why. As a linebacker, I really wouldn’t want to play against Princeton’s constant moving formations. (Lol if I get accepted to an IVY )

I think the Harvin trade might work for in favor of both teams actually. Seahawks goal is a superbowl, and I really don’t think they want to get caught up in the the in-organization turmoil that is present in their division neighbor (cough San Francisco cough) [But all that Jim Harbaugh talk is another discussion.]. For the Jets, it’s a chance for them to spark an abysmal offense. So I think both sides will benefit.

I heard another theory that the Jets organization is setting Ryan up to fail with a “see, we gave you the tools and you still didn’t win” line. Will Harvin mesh with Geno is the question. If he really does bring drama that could be a very interesting locker room.
