Yes Writer1992, you are a bad Jets fan. Don’t you know that a high draft pick is no sure thing? Ryan Leaf, Tim Couch, Akili Smith, Tony Mandarich etc…

Seems like scrambling QBs fall into 2 categories. The first is the successful QB who’s a good player and has the scrambling as another tool at their disposal. The second is the QB who scrambles a lot because they’ve never really figured out where to throw the ball.

Yep - Rodgers and Wilson vs Manziel and Kaepernick (so far). Colin has all the “tools” and is a great and durable scrambler. His problem is keying in one once receiver and tipping his passes or not going to his other reads when that guy isn’t open. I think both of the latter also have the ego trouble of having always felt like the best guy on the field and kind of invincible. That really came home to me when Kaepernick gave up that strip sack on about the 5 yard line that was recovered in the end zone last week. He had 3 guys closing in on him and he still had the ball out at arm’s length running around with it in one hand. He still feels like his athleticism can get him out of any situation.

Don’t forget Rick Mirer, @LakeWashington

Go Texans!
Go Chiefs!
Go Browns!
:)

At Bucs-Saints game. So far… Bucs looking sharp and Saints flat. Bucs 10-0 2nd period. Bucs going for first home win this season!

Another good day for xiggi. The Washington team is looking exactly like the Washington team today. Rooting for a Greenbay win I think. A win by either team is enough but I’m thinking Detroit might be tougher to beat with Megatron.

@lizard , would Tampa winning knock them out from the #1 draft slot? Also, since you’re there, would you want the win?

Winning is priority #1…worry about draft later.

Ok gotcha!

Still early…but could the football gods really be shining their god graces on the city of Houston?? [-O<

I’m going to win one of my FF leagues partly because of my late season pickup of Odell Beckham Jr. Man oh man.
Speaking of late QB drafts-- don’t forget A-A-ron. Sixth round. They show the excruciating video (of him trying to smile while not getting chosen) often in GB.

Some good football today.

Yes! Andre Johnson with a touchdown! Finally + over 100 yards! Whooo!!

I don’t know if anyone is watching the SD vs. KC game, but Rivers is steaming on the sideline His face has so much anger

J.J Watt I love you forever!!!

I can’t believe that I’m living through a time when I can say I saw one of the greatest ever play. I mean I was too young for Jordan, for Aikman, for Staubach, for White, for most of the greats in Basketball or Football, but I can tell my kids, I remember when JJ came into the league, I saw it.

And I love it!

Me too! I saw him play in Wisconsin!

:(( But thank you Houston for a great season

And thank you Baltimore for another reason to hate you

Pats made 6 starters inactive and pulled some other players halfway through game, so it is not a huge surprise they lost to an anemic Buffalo. Still irritating though, and I am not happy about how the offense is playing as they had into the playoffs.

None of the AFC teams scare me that much, though. So I like their chances to reach the Super Bowl. There’s some NFC teams that worry me a lot more.

Ruh-roh… I’d be surprised to see Rodgers back for the second half. I had just been commenting to H before he went down that if they win today, he’d have a full two weeks to rehab that calf.

My Seahawks are having a slow start. Fortunately they usually make good adjustments at half time. Something has to break this log jam. They are flat and have had several turn overs.

More O line trouble . . .
