Lol @Marrissa will be here soon! Please make sure y’all beat the Ravens :)

I believe that the above is an accurate description. While Suh might not go out to the deliberately hurt a player at the onset of the play, his instincts are to hurt someone if presented the chance. The real question is why the league has responded with a series of slaps on the wrists as opposed to increasingly lengthy suspensions. It probably would take Suh to do the same thing in a bar brawl to earn the just suspensions.

All in all, Detroit is a NFL disgrace with its affinity for harboring thugs. Too bad, the Cowboys cannot bring back Erik Williams for a little tango with Suh!

Well, well, well - the NFL has suspended Suh for the Dallas game. I’m surprised (I expected a fine only) but pleased:

<a href=“Ndamukong Suh of Detroit Lions suspended for playoff game - ESPN”>http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/12093617/ndamukong-suh-detroit-lions-suspended-playoff-game

He’s appealing, of course.

Wow! H just came home and told me. I am surprised, pleasantly. If Detroit really wants to get rid of their horrible image, they need to do some serious house cleaning.

That lack of discipline will come back to bite you. After much hand wringing I decided that it is probably in my team’s best interest to root for a Cowboys win so I guess it’s a good thing that way too. I can’t believe I just said that!

I had never heard of Suh, but after reading about him, Im wondering why he isn’t in jail, and why the NFL hasn’t removed him completely.

Has Suh EVER admitted to any wrongdoing? It seems every time he is disciplined he cries foul. I wonder if he believes his own BS.

Steeler fan here @lotsofquests They’ve had a great second half of the season. Hoping they can get past the Ravens!

A better question is why no opponent has ever knocked the bejeezus out of Suh previously.

^^^Well, he is kind of a big dude…

That and I doubt he’s used to letting anyone get the last word in.

Well, so do we!

I’m a temporary Dallas fan too.

DH is a Packer guy, so the nightmare scenario at my house is a Seattle - Green Bay matchup for the NFC title.

Suh is listed at 305 and almost certainly weighs quite a bit more. He is one of the strongest, most physically gifted players in the league. He’s a freak of nature. And he’s mean. There are probably zero offensive players who could “knock the bejeezus” out of him.

If he could channel the aggression he could be an amazing player.

His contract is up after this season. It will be interesting to see if Detroit attempts to re-sign him, or if they will let the circus leave town. Suh has likely cost himself 10’s of millions of dollars, as I think many teams won’t touch him or be willing to fork over a lot of guaranteed money.

This Cowboys fan is happy with the Suh suspension. Run, DeMarco, run!

There aren’t too many people who are able to take on Suh…

Suh is such a thug. I’ve hated him for quite some time. We have too many thugs on the Lions. (Ironically, they all came from U of Nebraska…)

[Before anyone accuses me of using thug is a racist way, let me be clear that I’ve never thought of it as having a racial component… that wasn’t even a thought to me until I read about it on CC. A thug is someone who has no regard for human life/safety and he absolutely meets that definition.]

^And it’s strange because Suh’s teammate at Nebraska, Crick, is a class act. Haven’t seen an inkling of bad behavior from him.

There is fine line between ‘nastiness’ and ‘toughness’ from your lineman (I mean the trenches are a hellish place) vs outright dirty play. And the Lions happen to have that on both sides of their line. Does it all stem from Suh? Maybe I just wasn’t paying attention, but were Fairley and Ansah dirty players at Auburn and BYU respectively?

Fairley was one of the dirtiest college players that I have ever seen. I didn’t know him from Adam and watched a bowl game where he was on the field and still remember him from that.

^^^ I had no dog in that hunt either - as a random observer he just stood out as being particularly nasty and not in a tough but classy way

He was right up there with Burfict
