Are you ready for some football?

^ lol

It is the best defense they have had in years.

Plus Flacco turns into the next coming of Joe Montana during the playoffs. It’s bizarre.

The Pats, in terms of points allowed, were 5th in the AFC. Baltimore was 3rd. So you could argue that neither team’s defense played well. Since the infamous KC game in week 4 (Brady is done! Put in the backup!) the Pats were giving up an average of 18.5 ppg, against some pretty stiff competition. It’s the first game they gave up more than 30 points since week 4. Fortunately the Ravens’ defense isn’t what it used to be.

Revis drew a couple of penalties, which is very unusual for him, and one of them cost the Pats a turnover and the ball on the two yard line. Hopefully they clean it up against Indy or Denver.

The way the Seahawks are playing though… I don’t know if anyone can beat them. It’ll be interesting to see if they can sustain it once Russell gets paid and they start having cap issues.

A good chunk of the D is already locked in now. What will be interesting is what they do with Okung and Carpenter who have both had so much injury trouble and have been really good at times but not so good at other times. I’m not convinced that they pay Okung.

Flacco was pretty amazing. I guess he doesn’t get too high or too low so when other people get playoff nerves he is just surgical.

I think they also need to figure out Maxwell - there has been talk that they might not be able to keep him.

I sure hope that all those teams out there who are looking for coaches start making offers on Monday. I want Paul Allen to just pay Dan Quinn and have him stay . . . selfish I know. I love how in the post game interview the player all say that DQ figured out where they were getting beat and made adjustments at half time. They seem to have guys who are bright enough and responsive enough to take that in and do things differently in that little 10 minute window or whatever they have by the time they get into the locker room. It has gotten to where fans expect that they will come out in the second half with the answer to whatever ailed then in the first. In this case Carolina was having a lot of success running up the middle in the first half. They seemed to really get that in check coming out of the locker room.

GAME ON!!

Nice avatar!

Just showed it to H, and he said, “Nice.”

Ha! “New York Bozo, New York Bozo, New York Bozo, ready ready”

That beats Omaha Omaha any day of the week

Simply amazing . . .

Glad it warmed up.

Omg with the beads and everything, saintfan. As a lifelong cat owner, I can’t imagine how you do that without having your arms shredded to ribbons.

This game looks like it could be an epic grind. I guess I should root for them to just beat each other up no matter how it ends up - although that doesn’t seem very nice. I at least hope that the winner comes out good and sore (no career ending injuries or anything)

I kind of love that they make beads in the shape of cheese wedges . . . who knew?

The brain drain is a big issue for successful teams, and is probably under-discussed when talking about sustained success. It’s not just the coordinators either - when a DC or OC leaves, they take staff with them.

It makes the Pats’ run all the more amazing - this is the 9th time in 14 years the Patriots have made it to the AFC championship.

A lot of the talk has been about the new hire coaches being able to find new teams of coordinators and whatnot. The longer you wait to hire the head coach the fewer guys who are out there further down the food chain.

Dang! Cowboys D

Ugh #-o

Who is #33 and why did he run away from the tackle? OMG!
